“Pros: Hallways are new Cons: PACKAGES STOLEN EVERY SINGLE TIME OVERPRICED VIRTUAL DOORMAN APP ALWAYS BROKEN MANAGEMENT NEVER RESPONDS SUPER NEVER RESPONDS”

“Pros: Great location - close to Trader Joe's and the L and Target. Cons: MICE. We had an exterminator come on 3 separate occasions and they never were able to remedy the problem. We must have killed over a dozen mice and then they rose our rent! The street can be dangerous at night. Multiple stabbings and gun shots have happened on the corner. We've been verbally assaulted right outside the building. Some units overlook the trash side of the building which is overrun with rats at night. The staircase can be precarious, especially in the winter or after it has rained. We never went at night. Advice to landlord: Fix the pest problem.”

“Unit 14 Pros: Very pretty interior, renovated, good lighting. Cons: SO MANY MICE!! Management did little to help the EXTREME rodent problem for about 3 months, then I paid for an exterminator myself. Packages are constantly stolen with nothing being done by management. Advice to landlord: Fix the rodent issue.”

“Unit 22 Pros: Nice and responsive super. Good location. Modern touches. New cleaning guy is doing a great job. Cons: Packages CONSTANTLY stolen. Building manager impossible to get a response from (although she does like to complain about tenants in blasts via the rent portal) Neighbors noisy and inconsiderate to others who aren’t students. Homeless like to camp in doorway of building. Garbage disposal area slightly terrifying. Advice to landlord: Get a building manager who will actually do their job. Figure out a more secure system for mail. Fix up the garbage pit.”

“Pros: Good location in the East village Cons: Little to no heat in the winter. Was constantly below the legal temp and management did nothing. Rats are infested in the trash area. Cockroaches during the summer. Neighbors in the building have had issues with mice. Have raised the rent 1.6k from when I first moved in 2 years ago.”

“Unit 15 Pros: Good location building is refurbished nicely Cons: Heat was broken for months and they lied and said they fixed when they didn’t, wasn’t until I boycotted paying rent that they came to fix that and everything else in my apartment that was broken. Hot water and water pressure constantly off, also terrible response times from them. Roaches were a problem easily, exterminator came once a month but not at consistent times so we missed him often. Dead mice left in the lobby, heard my neighbors screaming about mice and rats in their apartment but never had a problem myself. Also neighborhood on north side of the building complained about noise from the bar below us every night, but I never personally had this issue as I wasn’t directly above it. Never received security back from them either but at this point I’m just happy to be out of there.”

“Pros: Close to Trader Joe’s and train Cons: *DID NOT RETURN MY SECURITY DEPOSIT AS THE CHECK BOUNCED* Landlord is useless, doesn’t respond. You can be left for weeks/months with something broken in your apartment Packages constantly stolen. You can’t leave anything in the lobby for as little as an hour They increased rent by 40% after covid Advice to landlord: Stop being tramps”

“Pros: The apartment I had was cute and affordable just because of vivid though, they immediately hiked it 1k at renewal Cons: Packages stolen regularly Property management is trash Heat didn’t start until December and it was on like once a week Advice to landlord: Customer service”

“Pros: Love the location, my apartment has a unique layout Cons: Things always go wrong with my apartment and the building. Management truly could care less. The owner is an actual slumlord and went to prison for harassing rent controlled tenants. Advice to landlord: This feels futile with someone who cares as little as you do”
