“Unit 4f Pros: nice neighbors, very nice neighbors Cons: they try to keep the interest on your deposit though you've paid the taxes on it. Rats Advice to landlord: sell to someone who cares”
— 505 EAST 88 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 1D Pros: Quick response time and generally keep the place clean. Cons: Neighbors are hoarders and leading to some pest issues in the walls. Advice to landlord: Working better with tenants when there’s issues among them.”
— 505 EAST 88 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 2D Pros: The neighborhood and the apartment itself were lovely Cons: Struggled with roaches - was having pest control come every week, nothing was working. Heat was an issue - my apartment was above the lobby and got extremely cold in the winter. Chain smoker who was grandfathered in lived across the hallway, smoke was constantly getting into my apartment and nothing could be done. Building was always relatively dirty.”
— 505 EAST 88 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Responsive management in terms of repairs within the apartment. Mostly quiet neighbors and good location Cons: Awful smell in the lobby for the entire year (think sewage + open trash), laundry machines not usable due to dirt being accumulated over time , minor rat issue in basement trash room due to poor maintenance (they eventually fixed it) Advice to landlord: Fix the lobby and laundry room!”
— 505 EAST 88 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Building is fine for what it is. Great location on a quiet street. Apartment size fits our needs Cons: Takes multiple emails to get a response on maintenance requests. Also if a project requires multiple visits you have to stay on top of them to make sure they come back to I miss the job Advice to landlord: Devote more attention to Tennant’s requests”
— 505 EAST 88 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Quiet neighbors, no pests, elevator, trash indoors. Management was quick to respond to important problems. Vacuumed and clean floors often. No kids. Cons: Mediocre fit and finish (some uneven walls), slow/no mgmt responses about lower priority questions/problems. Staff rarely wear masks (during COVID). Advice to landlord: Keep it up. Better email responses would help tho.”
