“Unit 3 Pros: Private balconies, right across the street from the G train and close to many coffee shops Cons: Building management is absolutely awful -- only live here if you want to wait 4+ months for a simple repair, if you happen to get lucky. Otherwise, you'll enjoy getting your plumber/HVAC/electrician knowledge up to date because you'll probably be doing everything yourself. Advice to landlord: Maintain the building? Or at least respond to your residents and tell them to go f*** themselves?”
— 577 LAFAYETTE AVENUE · Brooklyn“Unit 3 Pros: Good location and balconies Cons: Building management and super are extremely negligent and things are not maintained or fixed in a timely manner at all. I've been flat-out ignored many times after submitting maintenance requests. Most recently, there's been an issue with doors not locking, which is a huge safety issue. Advice to landlord: Maintain the building and respond to my texts/emails/requests online”
— 577 LAFAYETTE AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Private balconies are nice Cons: Worst management we ever had. Poor communications and repairs take months to get fixed. Badly maintained building.”
— 577 LAFAYETTE AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Right on top of G train, nice neighborhood Cons: - illegally kept the security deposit - bug infestation - would not respond to maintenance outages - would not give back the security deposit to any of the other tenants who lived there at the same time as us Advice to landlord: Don’t be so greedy, you don’t need to treat people like garbage. Do better”
— 577 LAFAYETTE AVENUE · Brooklyn“Unit 3 Pros: One good thing was the natural sunlight from the South Facing Windows and access to two balconies and rooftop. Cons: Badly Maintained building with Events-space below which made it very noisy at night (Not sure if it is still there). The building was dirty and barely cleaned. Laundry was initially an amenity as part of the lease, but when I moved in it did not work due to leaking carbon monoxide and management refused to fix it.”
