“Unit 1A Pros: location, next to b44 and trains, neighborhood Cons: neglectful management, things take over a month to get fixed even if they're emergencies (front door not closing, heat not working), they send people who do not know how to do repairs to try and fix things, building is a mess and extremely old, i'm telling you- it's not worth it Advice to landlord: PLEASE respond to tenant's requests, especially if it is an immediate issue.”

— 346 GATES AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Close bus stop. Easy access to restaurants and stores. Cons: Everything about this building and its units are terrible. Seriously, don't EVER live here. When we first moved in, the place was a mess. Completly uncleaned, and even though we reached out to management and they said they would fix it, they never did. Within the first two months of living here, our bathroom ceiling started to fall in, black mold grew, cockroaches showed up in the kitchen (despite constant cleaning), and management sent us through so many different people to "fix" the problem of mold, it took two weeks to finally get someone to come by and then they cleaned it wrong and didn't address the actual problem. The neighbors are very loud and you get all of their drama clearly through the walls, plus barking dogs. Those from management refused to tell us how to pay rent for a month and a half, then when they did finally give us the right information, they also gave us a late fee. I would say it's worth it because the rent is cheap, but even that's not true. There is truly nothing positive about living here. Advice to landlord: Clean the units before people move in, and make actual repairs before people live there. Set up a proper digital system for reporting repair requests. When a situation needs it, call actual professionals. Listen to your tenants.”
