“Unit 2C Pros: Rent stabilized Low rent Cons: Management is very passive and you have to push to get any sort of communication”
— 248 WEST 149 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 2C Pros: The tenants, super, and porter are all friendly and kind. The apartments are very spacious. There’s a sense of community in the area and a semiactive tenants association. Cons: The building management’scommmunication is awful. If the heat or hot water goes out, don’t expect any notice or warning. My unit had multiple issues that were costing me money and it took me threatening to take them to court before they took it serious enough to fix.”
— 248 WEST 149 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Apartment is large by New York City standards… WD Combo would be nice if it worked. Cons: Building is 120 years old. Very outdated. Old lobby not painted in years. Apartments are old, kitchen is tiny - no dishwasher. Bathroom is small, has not been updated in years. Bathroom floor needs to be re-grouted, tiles are completely lose. There is no ventilation in the bathroom other than the window; mildew and mold on ceiling because of it. Advice to landlord: Answer your tenants needs or you will lose all your tenants.”
