“Pros: Building is very clean and well maintained by excellent super and team members Cons: Laundry room could be bigger”
— 1801 DORCHESTER ROAD · Brooklyn“Pros: Staff try their best to keep the building maintained Cons: They never fix the root cause of any issue in the building. Just put bandaids over everything. Nothing is ever fixed in a timely fashion. rent is ridiculously high for the broken down nasty amenities that the building has to offer. Laundromat caught on fire weeks ago and still hasn’t been any update on any repairs. Advice to landlord: Stop being so cheap and robbing your tenants”
— 1801 DORCHESTER ROAD · Brooklyn“Pros: The building is clean, quiet, and in a great neighborhood. A lot of residents have lived here for 20+ years. Some modern features like the kitchen and bathroom. Love the staff. Cons: As with a lot of old buildings, the smell from other apartments come through the vents. The laundry room is in dire need of new washing machines. The owner keeps saying they’re on back order which feels like a lie. Advice to landlord: Get new washing machines please!”
— 1801 DORCHESTER ROAD · Brooklyn“Pros: Large space low price good neighborhood Cons: Washing machines breakdown and are dirty. Windows leak and apartment is freezing in winter”
— 1801 DORCHESTER ROAD · Brooklyn“Pros: Nice neighbors and workers Cons: There are some roaches (but not a lot) garage is tight spaces Advice to landlord: None”
— 1801 DORCHESTER ROAD · Brooklyn“Pros: The super Joe is great to work with and the apartments are very nicely sized. Cons: They are constantly doing construction in apartments that turn over. In many cases, they are taking a two bedroom and making it into a three bedroom to make more $$. Additionally, the insulation between floors is not great. If your upstairs neighbor refuses to put down rugs, it can be deafening. I’ve reached out to the landlord on three separate occasions on the noise front and to date they haven’t responded. I work from home and it can be disruptive. Very very hot in winter. Advice to landlord: Be responsive when your tenants email and call.”
— 1801 DORCHESTER ROAD · Brooklyn“Pros: Nice neighbors, great doorman, lots of closet space Cons: Windows don't work and don't get replaced; no response from management or super when things need fixing; heat often isn't working during winter; structural damage to walls, ceilings, floors and I think there's going to be a major collapse one day; unlicensed tradesmen. Advice to landlord: listen to your tenants and fix the problems promptly! Stop being so cheap.”
