“Pros: Location. Only three units in the building. Cons: Building is old and poorly maintained. Dirty common areas. Sex shop below attracts a rough crowd around the building. Tenants have had problems with mice and roaches. There was a period where tenants did not have gas service (no hot water and heat) during the winter of 2019-2020. Maintenance issues take a long time to be resolved. Landlord does most of the maintenance himself or hires budget contractors. The building was primarily a place for the landlord’s kids to live when they were younger but now that they are grown, the property seems to be forgotten. Advice to landlord: Make the the necessary upgrades to provide a quality living experience to your tenants.”
