GOLD RIVER CAPITAL, LLC · avg 3.1 ★★★★★ · New York City
“Unit 4E Pros: Elevator. Laundry in the basement. Love that the building manager decorated for XMas holidays. Company did offer assistance during Pandemic and was very open to negotiating. Cons: Laundry room was closed due to needing repairs and stayed that way until I had to finally move out. They were not fast about maintenance or competent. Advice to landlord: You must constantly harass them for answers or things to be taken care of.”
— 853 RIVERSIDE DRIVE · Manhattan“Pros: Rent stabilized; Great maintenance guy who is always so helpful; pretty clean and quiet for the most part Cons: Could no get rid of the mice. Lived in the building for 9 years and spent so much money using every method possible including monthly exterminator provided by the building and the mice always find their way back inside the apartment. You especially hear them inside the walls and around the pipes! Advice to landlord: Better water pressure!”
— 839 RIVERSIDE DRIVE · Manhattan“Pros: Responsive super, quiet Cons: Expensive laundry but lots of machines available”
— 845 RIVERSIDE DRIVE · Manhattan“Unit 48 Pros: The neighbors are so friendly and kind, and the maintenance team are always around, do a great job maintaining the building, and are incredible humans. Seeing them is always a highlight of my day! By far my favorite building I have ever lived in. Cons: Sometimes bugs, but that’s pretty normal for NYC and the heat can be a little to hot in the winter- Nothing that opening a window can’t help.”
— 845 RIVERSIDE DRIVE · Manhattan“Pros: Super friendly everybody knows each other and gets along Cons: Don’t have any cons and I been living here my whole life”
— 845 RIVERSIDE DRIVE · Manhattan“Pros: Beautiful building with long time neighbors Cons: There is a clear preference for tenants and who gets issues resolved first compared with others. Sometimes the area gets noisy at night. Advice to landlord: Stop having favorites.”
— 839 RIVERSIDE DRIVE · Manhattan“Pros: Nice building place Cons: Lots of bugs, no laundry room Advice to landlord: Fix laundry room”
— 853 RIVERSIDE DRIVE · Manhattan“Pros: The heat and you’re living in Manhattan, easy commute to midtown for work. Also, elevator and laundromat are nice. Cons: Loud neighbors, all of them, next door to us, above and below us. Everyone just wants to play loud music. We heard what sounded like a mouse one time in the walls. We had one incident of a bed bug that we had to get fumigated. And there’s one resident that has mental health issues that can be seen with his pants down and he smokes in the elevator. Super never responds to anything, neither does management. And although there’s a laundromat in the building, depending on which unit you live in, it could mean walking almost two blocks worth (inside the building) to get to them. And the management company deals with a broker and the broker company is sketchy. This all happened within our first year of renting there that we ended up breaking our lease. Advice to landlord: Hire a better super, the one you have doesn’t respond to any calls. And stop working with your shady broker.”
— 845 RIVERSIDE DRIVE · Manhattan“Pros: Great location, spacious units Cons: Needs updating, lobby & building exterior warn and lacks curb appeal Advice to landlord: Put some investment into curb appeal , the lobby needs updating and the base of the building is chipping and an eyesore”
— 853 RIVERSIDE DRIVE · Manhattan“Pros: Fixing the building Cons: Been on for 10 years Advice to landlord: How long does it take to fix”
— 839 RIVERSIDE DRIVE · Manhattan“Pros: Elevator and laundry Cons: The super was never responsive, constant smell of smoke in elevator, loud music from neighbors, constant noise in hallway from neighbors, neighbors don’t know how to social distance while using elevator. Advice to landlord: Hire a better super.”
