GATES AVE. HOLDINGS LLC · avg 4.0 ★★★★★ · New York City
“Pros: It's clean and garbage/recycling is cleared out of the refuse room regularly. Cons: Getting in touch with management requires nothing short of a miracle, a full moon, and probably a blood sacrifice. If you ever have an emergency, maybe they'll get back to you in a few days (only after you've sent multiple follow-up emails, of course). Advice to landlord: Communication. That's all it takes.”
— 416 GATES AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: A 3 year old building occupied by professionals, most tenants are respectful except for a few who don't communicate or share information. Since the building is so new it doesn't need a lot of TLC, but occasionally we need some help and B Manage is the worst in communication. Cons: B Manage is terrible at communicating,; whenever we email them for something we do not hear back at all. All apartments are still getting brown water every month and they ignore our requests to fix the issue. Their response is the brown water coming from nearby construction sites but all constructions stopped many months ago. 311 gives us the same answers so nothing is taken care of Advice to landlord: Respond to our emails and take action to fix the brown water”
— 416 GATES AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Parking in building Cons: Horrible land lord, could not get ahold of them”
— 416 GATES AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Generally nice layouts, lovely rooftop, lots of sunlight with the windows, package room is nicely organized, the self-park garage is very useful and the spot sizes are ample, nice high ceilings Cons: the key function doesn't always work, management almost never responds and if they do it's weeks later, walls are thin, there is a consistent draft from the windows (especially feeling it now as the winter approaches), the fixtures are not that great (especially the sinks and the shower). when i moved in (discussed/planned the day & time with the super well before, etc), the apartment was unkempt and not ready. Advice to landlord: better management response”
— 416 GATES AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: The building was clean, and neighbors were friendly. Cons: Did not enjoy the small gym, and the study space on the cellar level did not have any signal for internet.”
— 416 GATES AVENUE · Brooklyn“Unit 6E Pros: Large, well-designed units and friendly neighbors. Cons: The manager, Sam Silber, is extremely unresponsive and rude. It's almost impossible to get help with even the most minor maintenance requests, which has made living at 420 Gates very unpleasant. The company, B Manage (bmanage.com) is equally unhelpful. Advice to landlord: Change the management company asap”
