★★★★★Oct 2025

“Pros: The location is unbeatable and it has some pre war charm Cons: This building is old and they are charging inflated rates for rusty bathroom fixtures and weak heat. This last winter the heat was barely working at all and at one point the building went nearly 2 weeks without heat and hot water. They raised my rent nearly 10% the two years there despite paying in full and on time consistently and they did not give the proper notice as per city law. They also are not compliant to new compost/containerization laws. Advice to landlord: Stop being greedy, value your good tenants.”

“Unit 5 Pros: This building gets great natural light, has beautiful crown moulding and original fireplace and is in a great location Cons: There's a history of leaks (one neighbor had her ceiling cave in), you can hear everything in the hallway, and there's no trash service.”

“Pros: Anytime I needed help from the super, he was quick to come fix things. Cons: There was a creepy neighbor that the owner of the building wouldn't do anything about when the man broke into someone's apt. Not sure if he still lives there. Advice to landlord: Get rid of the creepy neighbor”

“Pros: Location and proximity to public transportation. Cons: The building is poorly maintained; several units lack basic amenities, and the tenant turnover is high (for obvious reasons).”

★★★★★Dec 2021

“Pros: The location is great. I love the neighborhood and it’s an easy commute to Manhattan. Cons: The building is filthy, no maintenance done. The super is pretty unresponsive and the real estate agent asked that we pay her an EXTRA $150 for “light property management” — I never saw her again. When I moved in, there was garbage piling in the hall because there is no realistic garbage system. Later on, it caught on fire right in front of my door. No effort to clean during the pandemic, the hallways are gross. Packages were stolen. Paid an outrageous price for what it was. Would not recommend. Advice to landlord: Clean. Charge less.”

★★★★★Sep 2021

“Pros: Charm, location, close to subway, promenade super close Cons: Dirty dusty building, weird tenants that violate your privacy and landlords don’t do anything about it, super breaks things while fixing others, cheap fixes and everything is painted over”

★★★★★Sep 2021

“Pros: Very nice location in the heart of Brooklyn heights. Cons: The house keeping is bad. Building is not clean. Many “in house” repairs, more like bad patches. Poor responsiveness. Expensive for what it offers. Advice to landlord: Fix the building… properly!”

★★★★★May 2021

“Pros: Great neighbors, great neighborhood, and incredible location. Cons: Not cleaned on regular basis, recurring water bugs, water leaks throughout building and cracks all over the walls. landlord refuses to handle basic maintenance or comply with legal obligations unless pushed. All problems blamed on prior tenants regardless of logic. Lease renewal never timely sent. Raised rents during the pandemic. Advice to landlord: As if he’d take it. Comply with your legal obligations including paperwork, repairs, etc, or sell the building.”

★★★★★Apr 2021

“Pros: Whenever I have issues, they are always fixed quickly. And I rarely have issues. Cons: It’s a little dusty. Had some issues getting my security deposit back. Was super late but was eventually returned to me in full. Advice to landlord: The common areas could be cleaned a bit more. Follow the security deposit laws.”
