“Pros: Friendly super, great location Cons: Always dog pee in the stairway, MICEEEE!!, and always leaks coming out of the apartment Advice to landlord: Fix the pipes, and make sure the guy cleaning out the garbage shoot does his job!”

“Unit 1A Pros: The location is perfect!! And the apartment is very spacious and really has everything you need. Cons: The building itself is very gross, the trash shoot is tiny, and the super is unresponsive. Advice to landlord: Have the landlord respond more”

“Pros: I really enjoyed how much natural light comes into the place, it is extremely spacious for a 2 bedroom and has a great living room if setup correctly. The only reason I am moving out is because I am adding a third roommate but I truly enjoyed how close everything was to me. Cons: I wished this place had elevator roof access and at times it can get a little dusty in the apartment. But overall I have no complaints.”

“Pros: Great location, apartments are very large for this part of Manhattan Cons: Hot water occasionally went out (was always fixed within 24 hours but that can seem like a lifetime when you need a shower in the winter). The entrance had lots of empty beer bottles and such from people walking back from LES bars. Not something that can really be controlled, though. Advice to landlord: Clean up the front. Rent out the commercial space as it being empty makes the rest of the building worth less.”

“Pros: Great neighbors and great location Cons: The basement and vacant retail space are not maintained and have a horrible rat infestation. Rats are constantly heard in the walls and ceilings. Access to walls is not correctly sealed allowing rodents to enter the unit. Infestation led to rat mite infestation. Advice to landlord: Maintain the basement”

“Pros: good location, management responds promptly but wouldn’t have to handle so many emergencies if they continuously upkept the building Cons: Full of rats, rat mites, dead rats in the walls causing fly infestations Advice to landlord: Regular pest upkeep”

“Unit 4C Pros: Quiet, good location Cons: old, outdated, not clean common area Advice to landlord: update the apartments”

“Pros: Super and porter are ok. Super tends to ignore your call but will get back to you eventually Cons: Building manager is a lost cause. Does not respond or take any action. There's a family on the second floor that's extremely loud and leaves their door open when they cook. Some of the apartments/neighbors are still using fuses instead of a circuit breaker panel which shows you how old the wiring is Advice to landlord: Clean the hallway/stairs more often. Bring the building to the 21st century with video doorbells.”
