“Pros: Porter is lovely, building is cozy and rent stabilized so very reasonable for the price. Cons: Not fancy but quiet and overall a wonderful neighborhood and well kept building.”

— 495 WEST END AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Super and his assistant are really responsive. If you need something fixed they do it really quickly. Cons: Pests are just too much. There is monthly extermination but it isn't as effective as I would like. Also kitchens are pretty old and in need of an upgrade. Advice to landlord: Find a better solution to pest problems. It would make the building a much more comfortable.”
— 495 WEST END AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Superintendent and porter were responsive and attentive Cons: Management company is horrible and landlord is nonexistent. It took 3 weeks to be approved to rent. Entire duration of our lease, the management refused to change the range even though at least 15% of the range top was visibly rusted. They continue to advertise the laundry room as new even though it has been several years and the quantity washer/dryers is significantly undersized for the amount of units. When we moved in we witnessed former tenants complaining about not receiving their security deposits after moving out so we were careful to maintain the apartment and document everything. During the pandemic when buildings were offering discounts on lease renewals, they raised the rent. We decided to move and now more than 5 months after we moved out we still have not received our deposit. Do not recommend a move to this building under any condition. Advice to landlord: Return security deposits”
