— 1716 2 AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Cool neighborhood and reasonable rent. Mostly cool young tenants in the bulding. Cons: Ely Samuel, the landlord, is a seriously bad dude. He’s mean, nasty, volatile, and threatening. Had a bedbug outbreak in the building, forced us to pay for exterminators ourselves. Demanded rent checks dropped off at his office in midtown, didn’t matter if it wasn’t convenient for you, on time or he’d threaten to start legal actions. This guy has a severe personality disorder of some kind. Advice to landlord: Seek counseling or find a line of work where you never need to interact with any other human beings.”
