“Pros: solid, safe building, beautiful lobby, clean, close to nightlife but not loud and obnoxious Cons: once the heat went out for a few days, landlord is not responsive and takes multiple attempts for them to come fix something”

“Pros: The super, Jerry, is friendly. There's laundry in building. Cons: There were ceiling leaks and the radiators would get very hot! There were also a roaches every now and then. Advice to landlord: Units could do with some renovations. Double paned windows would also be nice for sound quality (it's on a busy intersection).”

“Pros: Nice space and area. great closets in bedrooms Cons: Hot water during the winter isnt really a consistent thing. Super will ghost you most times. Also might come into your apartment without you knowing. Will raise rent.”

“Pros: - Great location, easy access to transportation, groceries, restaurants - contained trash around the corner - across from laundromat - spacious for NYC - no absurd price hikes each year - dishwasher (they even replaced it) Cons: - had issues with bed bugs that required extermination - occasional cockroaches and mice Advice to landlord: - rude, disorganized. building super was nice though”

“Pros: Cool neighborhood and reasonable rent. Mostly cool young tenants in the bulding. Cons: Ely Samuel, the landlord, is a seriously bad dude. He’s mean, nasty, volatile, and threatening. Had a bedbug outbreak in the building, forced us to pay for exterminators ourselves. Demanded rent checks dropped off at his office in midtown, didn’t matter if it wasn’t convenient for you, on time or he’d threaten to start legal actions. This guy has a severe personality disorder of some kind. Advice to landlord: Seek counseling or find a line of work where you never need to interact with any other human beings.”
