— 515 EAST 6 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: The building is clean and is on a nice street. When something was very broken they were very fast to respond. The approval process was very easy. Cons: The “volunteer super” is crazy, I have to plan when to take my trash out to avoid him and an hour long rant. He also will randomly scream/have loud conversations (with himself?) in the lobby and the whole apt can hear. The water was not and would not get hot until I bugged the management company about it for 3 months. Packages will get stolen and the “security camera” in the lobby is fake and frequently the fake cord is just dangling. One of the neighbors (2nd floor?) will yell at other neighbors and delivery ppl if they accidentally ring her apt. The garbage and laundry room are the same place and there are frequently flies. Advice to landlord: Use the real super not the crazy “volunteer”. The real one is quiet, comes on Tuesdays I believe and keeps everything clean. The other guy just stands in the trash room waiting to yell at people.”
— 515 EAST 6 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Elevator. They pay for pest control monthly. Cons: Very tiny and very pricey. 10-15 min walk to trains. Only two washers and dryers for a whole building. Very outdated. Crazy super when I was there if she’s still there (Mary). Packages were stolen often. Advice to landlord: Update the apartments before you charge as much as you do.”
