— 339 EAST 28 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Maintenance quick to respond. Super lives in building and is very reasonable and responsive. Building is very well maintained. Doormen are great. Lots of laundry machines, only day it gets full is Sundays. Packages safely stored until pickup. Never had any issues with pests or ac/heat after living here for a year. Cons: They don’t let food delivery up to your door, which may be annoying but adds to the building safety.”

— 339 EAST 28 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: The building manager is fantastic, most of the doormen are super nice, package and mail delivery is simple and easy. The building is very clean and well maintained, any maintenance requests are dealt with very quickly Cons: One of the people who worked the front desk was so mean and passive aggressive I took the back door whenever I heard her at the front entrance. I had a conversation with her where she vented to me about how she had been pinching her young kids when she was frustrated. Moving away from her was a huge relief. The building owner/corporate management company Halstead is also a bit skep- they lost my rent for a few months in 2020 (I sent a check, the money was removed from my bank account, but management couldn’t find the money) and tried to get me to pay double rent for their mistake, they sent lease renewals extremely late, and they have not yet returned my security deposit more than 1 month after vacating Advice to landlord: Armand deserves a raise, he’s excellent at his job”

— 339 EAST 28 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Good management, if there is an issue it is dealt with immediately. Quick to collect trash and overall very neat building Cons: Water pressure is bad and waterheater too, it takes forever to renovate the area in front of building Advice to landlord: Fix water heater”

— 339 EAST 28 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Standard NYC building with doorman and clean apartments in Kips Bay Cons: Not the cleanest apartment and serious problems with cockroaches”
— 339 EAST 28 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Management and maintenance workers are so efficient and responsive- you submit a service request and they are knocking on your door within 2 hours to fix it. Doormen are lovely. Building is always clean and well maintained. Very nice lobby and laundry room. Elevators are always readily available. Cons: I’ve never run into a problem but the surrounding area is a tad bit sketchy at times. It is close to a men’s homeless shelter on 1st Ave and Bellevue hospital. Advice to landlord: None. Keep up the good work.”
