“Pros: Great building. A nice neighborhood Cons: Trash management could be better”
— 357 16 STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Tenants and neighborhood nice Cons: Rats everywhere, roaches everywhere. Disgusting place to live”
— 355 16 STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Enjoyed being so close to the park and having proximity to such great eats around the area Cons: The owner and management company are outright disrespectful, incompetent, and refuse to lift a finger to fix things unless an absolute stink is made in order to do so. Old pipes that make a ton of noise, dirty main area that reeks of cigarettes, constant issues with AC system going out in the summer, zero ownership of the buildings shortcomings Advice to landlord: Fix the buildings issues and make sure tenants are happy before raising prices arbitrarily”
— 355 16 STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Nice neighborhood, close to park. Not a SUPER busy street Cons: Managment was a nightmare to work with. Apartment was filthy, hallways were filthy. Bugs. Heat was inconsistent. So many issues with the apartment. All the floors were uneven. Mold. Advice to landlord: Properly address all building issues before renting”
— 357 16 STREET · Brooklyn“Unit 1R Pros: Never had issues with lack of heat or hot water. The walls are thick so you can’t hear neighbors too much. No safety issues or package theft while I’ve been here Cons: Issues with mice, bugs, etc. pest control does not come monthly even when you ask management for it. Even if you tip the super well at holidays, he still takes weeks to respond to small requests sometimes. Snow doesn’t get shoveled for days, etc. They will try to raise your rent 20% at renewal despite not having met your expectations all year. YOU WILL HAVE TO SUE THEM TO EVER SEE A CENT OF YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT. Advice to landlord: Stop being a slumlord who lies in order to keep tenants security deposits. Many past tenants have taken you and slope management to court for this!”
— 143 23 STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Close to the park. Cons: I would warn anyone against living here: terrible building upkeep, disgusting common areas, the cheapest solutions possible, freezing all winter, non responsive office, roaches and mice. Advice to landlord: Pay to fix things”
— 355 16 STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Rent is moderately priced Cons: Where do I begin? There was a murder in the lobby and the landlord never changed out the carpet with the blood stain, there was blood on the wall for over a month. Most units in the building have mice and landlord never deals with this properly. Chipping lead paint on a pipe in my unit. Has not put one bit of small work into this building in 6 years and it looks just gross and dirty. Also is known to not give security deposits back- has done to multiple tenants. Advice to landlord: Stop being such a horrible person, karma will get you.”
