“Pros: Concierge staff is the only bright spot: They're friendly and helpful, but sadly not enough to make up for everything else. Cons: Extremely noisy: If you value peace and quiet, look elsewhere. Floor 34 has a DJ who blasts heavy bass every single day. It’s relentless and makes relaxing at home impossible. Management is unresponsive: Despite repeated complaints, management does nothing to address the noise or other ongoing issues. Elevators are a nightmare: Constantly under repair and painfully slow. Be prepared to wait. Smells and barking: The smell of weed is constant throughout the building, and dogs are always barking. It feels chaotic and unmanaged. Not worth the price: For what you pay, the living conditions are far below standard. The building feels cheap and neglected. Advice to landlord: This building has been a huge disappointment. Listen to tanant's complaint instead of ignoring them.”

— 555 WEST 42 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 36k Pros: It’s a nice luxury building and there are some cool amenities Cons: There’s a landlord, Weave Homes, that owns properties in this building for rent and he is an absolute scam artist who will make your living experience miserable. Advice to landlord: Stop extending Weave Homes lease”
“Unit 6F Pros: Good management team! Never any issues. Well maintained amenities and common areas. Cons: I lived on the 6th floor facing 42nd street, and it was extremely loud 24/7 due to nearby tunnel, UPS, and fire station. Windows aren’t well-insulated. Advice to landlord: Consider renovating windows to improve noise-insulation.”

— 555 WEST 42 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Fantastic staff, clean building, well managed, nice amenities, proximity to a number of things (Target, CVS, grocery stores, food, coffee, etc.) Cons: Heat/AC work but can be wonky. Heater tends to radiate ambiently in the winter (which is fine for some people, but I run hot so it wasn't great). Apartments aren't soundproofed from the outside, and because of proximity to Lincoln tunnel, you hear all the cars and honks from ground level during rush hour. Also the firetruck sirens. Advice to landlord: Soundproof the apartments and its near perfect”

— 555 WEST 42 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 16G Pros: Everything other than cons was great! Cons: Ongoing noise issue with pipes - management did not resolve, maybe staying within the apartment nearly unbearable for all winter months. Advice to landlord: n/amp”
— 555 WEST 42 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Appliances are nice, common spaces are well kept. Gym and pool are great. Cons: Doormen are mega assholes who will make up rules just to power trip. Windows have close to zero sound proofing which makes 42nd street / Lincoln tunnel traffic unbearable”

— 555 WEST 42 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 8J Pros: One of the most spacious kitchens I've seen in Manhattan with lovely countertops and appliances. Upper floor apartments have balconies, which are quite nice especially in the summer months. Rooms all have views regardless of which direction they're facing. Cons: Clothes got stolen from the in-building laundromat and the building was only able to recover a fraction of the clothing. Advice to landlord: Better security footage screening for laundromat.”
— 555 WEST 42 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Responsive management, well kept Cons: Loud neighbors (loud parties by banker bros are common, though thick walls help), traffic noise if facing 42nd St”

— 555 WEST 42 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: The management are very friendly some aren’t watch out for one in particular a doorman. Besides that I live at Riverbank for more than 6 years and it is my fav building Cons: Raised rent often. Advice to landlord: Try and ask your tenant what they want before changing things.”
— 555 WEST 42 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Views , location, some staff Cons: Inferior decor in public areas, not luxury standards. Apartment walls, floors not well maintained Advice to landlord: Improve quality of details if you’re calling yourself a luxury building”
— 555 WEST 42 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Nice amenities and safe Cons: Small rooms and living space”
— 555 WEST 42 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Building delivers on promises. Maintenance is responsive to any issues Cons: Some fees on some of the amenities are relatively high (like for the grills)”
— 555 WEST 42 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Amenities were nice Cons: Didn’t have working gas for the stove for about half the lease. Management had poor communication over it, took a tenant-led uproar to get some sort of rent reduction for it. Kitchen and bathroom perpetually had bugs.”
— 555 WEST 42 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Great amenity, great management Cons: The only thing I don’t like is the neighborhood, a bit noisy since it’s right next tot he Lincoln tunnel. That’s all”
— 555 WEST 42 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Nice place to live, great view , spacious apartments, flexible with lease transfer Cons: Far away from subway , traffic noise level due to proximity to tunnel, high rents Advice to landlord: BBQ access should be free”
