“Pros: The concierge staff is lovely. Cons: 1. Crazy rent increases 2. Money-grubbing landlord resorts to illegal tactics to squeeze every last dime out of unwitting tenants who are only looking for peace and quiet Advice to landlord: Fire Jayleen Castro. She’s a menace.”
— 107 COLUMBIA HEIGHTS · Brooklyn“Unit 9H Pros: The onsite building staff is fantastic. The best group of doorman and maintenance men you could ask for. Cons: The offsite management office is terrible - very unresponsive. The rent gets raised by hundreds every year. The sound proofing in the building is non-existent. I can hear my neighbors chatting (even snoring) through the walls. Zero, zero, ZERO sound proofing. I have only stayed here because I love the neighborhood. Advice to landlord: Stop being unethical when it comes to year over year rent increases.”
— 107 COLUMBIA HEIGHTS · Brooklyn“Pros: The apartment is modern, has all the amenities I was looking for, the doorman and building staff are wonderful. The location and neighborhood are ideal Cons: I am only moving out because of seeing price increases of 20% over 2 years. Advice to landlord: Don’t try to price gouge your current good tenants”
— 107 COLUMBIA HEIGHTS · Brooklyn“Pros: Lovely and convenient location Lovely, responsive, and helpful staff The walls were pretty decently soundproofed I genuinely miss living in this building. Cons: they REALLY hiked up the prices, unreasonably so the laundry/drier machines in the public areas are TINY”
— 107 COLUMBIA HEIGHTS · Brooklyn“Pros: Great neighborhood, close to subways, nice amenities, friendly staff and neighbors. Cons: Small apartment, with not the highest quality flooring/fixtures/etc., a little expensive Advice to landlord: Higher quality details within the apartments (flooring, fixtures, etc.)”
— 107 COLUMBIA HEIGHTS · Brooklyn“Pros: Location and aesthetic Cons: Slow maintenance :( Advice to landlord: Reduce the fees”
— 107 COLUMBIA HEIGHTS · Brooklyn“Pros: Beautiful quiet neighborhood Nice neighborhoods Friendly staff. Cons: Clipper Management is not a luxury manager. Not responsive. Under-staffs the building, most notable with dirty common areas and gym. Lousy construction (have had plumbing, AC, heat and other issues in our unit) Advice to landlord: Invest more in your properties and staff. Hire some managers from AVB or TFC that know how to manage luxury buildings”
— 107 COLUMBIA HEIGHTS · Brooklyn“Unit 7Q Pros: beautiful brand new very well kept Cons: nothing but they jacked up my rent at the end of lease”
— 107 COLUMBIA HEIGHTS · Brooklyn“Pros: Not much at all for the price Cons: Management is a complete joke. Laughable. Advice to landlord: Replace your entire management staff. Bring people on that actually care about their jobs and care about the tenants that are PAYING their salaries. When you act like tenants are not customers and instead just people who got “suckered” into signing a lease agreement, do you honestly expect anyone to want to continue to live here????”
