“Pros: Small building so not that many tenentes. Cons: The garbage outside is not properly kept so there’s TONS of rats in front of the building. Always. Especially at night. I don’t think there’s a single night I entereted the building and didn’t see one. Also, the front door slams so if you leave on the first floor or above the main entrance you hear the door slamming all the time. Advice to landlord: Fix the damn ray problem and the front door”

Advice to landlord: get a better security system, (virtual doorman etc), fix the cockroach problem, seal my pipes, get better garbage cans that rats cant chew through, sweep the floors”
— 317 WEST 29 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: - Close to Penn Station - Cheap Apartment - Treelined Street and generally quiet at night compared to other NYC Neighborhoods - Easy to pay portal for rent, and requests - No need to pay electric, it's included in the rent Cons: - Loud Neighbors (Has a few folks that sing loudly repeatedly during the day) - Incredibly Unfriendly Super (Part of the reason I moved out, just made me feel unwelcome) - Garbage is put out on the street right in front of the building, and it attracts a LOT of rats at night. - Roaches found in the apartment multiple times, and I'm very clean. Told management two times, but I eventually got my own roach traps. - Management will randomly send emails one or two days before saying things like water will shut off for 6-8 hours due to maintenance. - Front door locks work maybe half the time, so anyone could stumble in. - A lot of homeless come by the apartment at night and look through the garbage pales during the day. - I actually got Mold poisoning from the apartment windows, make sure you check the windows AND air conditioning units (if there is one when you rent) - Very small apartment, generally only good for someone that doesn't need to be there very much. - Super small bathrooms Advice to landlord: Teach the super not to talk down to the tenants...”
