CENTRAL BUSHWICK LLC · avg 3.4 ★★★★★ · New York City
“Pros: - sizeable lot and decent apartment layout - generally decent interior conditions from a structural pov - new appliances Cons: - bathroom has a bunch of water damage on the door - neighbors/roommates by the rental companies are bad - high school kids from across the street are constantly fighting at 7am, being extremely loud and obnoxious and leave trash all over the building. Advice to landlord: Get the high school to better control kids”
— 599 CENTRAL AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Good space light and distribution Cons: A lot of noise Advice to landlord: Keep clean :)”
— 593A CENTRAL AVENUE · Brooklyn“Unit Apt. 3 Pros: Noise is mostly kept out of the apartment, large windows that let in lots of light, high ceilings Cons: Construction work of this building was shoddy in places with floorboards not lining up and leaving large gaps. Holes between the floor and trim let in bugs. Kitchen and bathroom finishes and doorbell intercom are of poor quality. Advice to landlord: Fix the floors, install higher quality doorbell system, fill in all holes in floor”
— 593A CENTRAL AVENUE · Brooklyn“Unit 3 Pros: The neighbors and area Cons: The owner and rodents Advice to landlord: Be nice to your tenants”
— 593A CENTRAL AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Good garbage collection system. Super friendly and helpful super. New appliances. Clean. Cons: Really unresponsive management. Management has an attitude. I don’t know who the landlord is. Neighbor’s are incredibly loud, building not sound proof at all.”
— 593 CENTRAL AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Gorgeous buildings—was only the second tenant in my apartment—with stainless steel appliances, tall ceilings and around the corner from the L Cons: Neighbors can be really loud and obnoxious at times, but it’s a younger crowd typically and you kind of expect it. As a single young woman, I was creepily approached and borderline sexually harassed by the maintenance man who I believe then became the super. His name is Noel—stay away from him. Advice to landlord: Fire Noel. He’s a danger to women.”
— 593 CENTRAL AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Clean, good natural light, parking isn’t terrible if you have a car. Cons: We had to deal with both violent threats and sexual harassment from the live-in super throughout our lease. We asked our neighbors above us if they also had issues with him, and they had also experienced the same problems, telling us the mgmt company denied to handle the issue when they had previously reported it.”
— 593 CENTRAL AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Central air conditioning. Cons: Evicted everyone, living in an empty building for over a year and still nickel and diming every late fee, won’t approve a single new tenant to our co-lease, rent too high, neighborhood is dangerous as hell, seem like they’ll invent some BS reason to not return our deposits. Advice to landlord: Lower your rent dramatically. This is not a safe neighborhood and this is not a nice building.”
— 589 CENTRAL AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Washer/dryer in unit, spacious rooms, modern fixtures Cons: Inhuman treatment of tenants during the pandemic. Three out of four roommates were unemployed for months and, following the governor’s guidelines, we used our security deposit to cover one month’s rent when our savings were depleted. We even sent a timeline of deposit repayment over the next months. The landlord retaliated by refusing to renew our lease, despite the fact that two roommates had been living there for years and we had never been late with rent, even through the worst of the pandemic. They ignored our attempts at communication and kicked us out without any qualms. We were left scrambling for a new place to live in the middle of a pandemic. The managers of this building are horrible people and they treated us like something less than human. Never ever lease with this company. They do not care about Advice to landlord: You lost excellent long-term tenants because of your greed and lack of compassion. You left us homeless in the middle of a humanitarian and economic crisis after we had depleted our savings paying you on time—despite our every attempt to find a working solution that benefitted both parties. Find some humanity.”
— 593 CENTRAL AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: It’s a an okay building located in Bushwick surrounded by a decent amount of commercials. You’re located 5 mins away from the L train. Cons: Ehh.. i lived in there 3 floor and it has 2 bathroom and 6 bedroom.. not worth it. Also we had an issue with rats and roaches and they never came to help. neither to fix things in the apt. it will take months.. Advice to landlord: Reduce the amount of bedrooms”
