“Unit 5B Pros: It’s newer and there’s an elevator! Haven’t really had any pest issues besides the regular flies that come in during the summer (we live on the floor with a door to the patio). Landlord is pretty flexible with negotiating the rent increase, but that might be because my roommates have lived here for 5 years so we have that bargaining power. It’s in a great area, right off the L and not far from the G. 2 great grocery stores, one a block away and another about a 5 minute walk. Cons: The apartment is small. No getting around it. The rent feels high for the small rooms, but it could just be NYC market. The neighbors can be loud sometimes, especially when there’s parties on the rooftop at our building or the one next door. Sometimes the trash gets piled up pretty high. Not really much else as a Con. Advice to landlord: Nothing really, I like living here. Wish the rent was a little more affordable.”

“Pros: Near a lot of good shops, music venues, etc. Renovated and modern design Only 2 units per floor Cons: On a busy street corner, but if you're on a high floor noise isn't too bad”

“Unit 2A Pros: Fairly new building with new appliances. Split unit AC and heat. Laundry in the basement. Cons: Needs to be cleaned more, gym and laundry room could use some TLC. Advice to landlord: Clean common areas more, get better laundry machines”

“Unit 4C Pros: It's a newer development, fairly clean and your packages are safe from being stolen. Cons: They're raising the price by $600. I'm out.”

“Unit 2B Pros: The build is pretty new, so appliances are good, there is an elevator, and bathroom is clean. Right next to Grand St. subway station, and very close to good coffee shops and restaurants. Cons: There was one thing that I couldn’t stand, however. Their recycling/trash area is pretty dirty. In the summer, there are so many flies/fruit flies that if you open up a window even for a few minutes, they will invade your room. Also, this trash area seems to attract quite a bit of homeless people and teenagers smoking joint, so just be aware of that I guess.”
