“Unit 17 Pros: Amazing super/management - responsive and kept building clean. Cons: 140th can get a little loud on warmer nights with everyone hanging out on the street. Advice to landlord: Our super from 2019-2021 was amazing.”
— 208 WEST 140 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Location is great. It’s a smaller building and the people in the building are very nice. The original hardwood flooring in the apartments is also very pretty. The supers are very responsive and helpful. Cons: The building isn’t very well maintained. The supers are great and always respond to requests, but it seems that the building owner doesn’t prioritize up keeping apartments very well. Our apartment was clearly not cleaned or repainted between tenants. There was literally old food in our oven, random things in drawers, and what looked like at least a decade of grime on things like window frames, tops of cabinets, etc. Some things in the apartment have clearly not been repaired or replaced in a long time either. Our rent was increased significantly between lease years, too, despite this. Advice to landlord: Make repairs to the building/apartments regularly and please clean and paint between tenants.”
