“Pros: Great surface Value for surface Great super Cons: Noisy because of the heater and bad floor isolation. Advice to landlord: Upgrade the heating system”
— 1725 DORCHESTER ROAD · Brooklyn“Unit 5A Pros: Building is on a quiet block and neighbors are generally friendly and respectful. Management is pretty low-key, live-in super is a complete gem. Rent is pretty reasonable for the area, and units seem to be spacious. I have lived in two- and one-bedroom apartments in this building; both are roomy and quiet with lots of light. Neighbors are also generally low-key and friendly. Cons: Garbage gets a bit out of control at times. The super is clearly overwhelmed and doesn't seem to get the support he needs from management, which is basically absent most of the time. Upkeep of units also seems really patchy - the landlord clearly only undertakes major upgrades when it's really necessary, though in general the apartments are in good shape. Advice to landlord: More staff and attention to apartments' condition would go a long way.”
— 1725 DORCHESTER ROAD · Brooklyn“Pros: Amazing neighborhood I loved living there. The farmers market on sundays close to trains, and supermarkets. The heat was always nice, pet friendly, nice neighbors close to the park. My apartment got great light. And the elevator even though it was slow Cons: They took forever to fix things unless it was urgent. Garbage area was really dirty. There was a small pest problem, nothing crazy. And noisy neighbors upstairs. Plus you couldn’t pay your rent online. Advice to landlord: Update to online pay and fix the minor issues”
“Pros: - great neighborhood (>1 mile from prospect park, nice grocery stores, surrounded by beautiful Victorian houses, quiet, safe) - close to the train - responsive and friendly super - washer and dryer in unit! - spacious apartments with open layouts - cute lobby - elevator Cons: Really no major cons. I wish they wouldn’t turn the heat so high at night and turn it on during the day a little instead but thats getting pretty nit picky. I guess one other thing is that you can’t pay your rent online. Advice to landlord: Invest in a portal that allows people to set up automatic payments online.”
