“Pros: I liked the fact the the street was quiet.the neighbors are very friendly as well. Cons: James Munet is very racist towards people of color. While we were leaving there he used to make the worst comments about black people and when I called him out he never once tried to apologize. He said he don’t think he owed me any apologies. I lived in the basement and he never fixed anything that was damaged to the point where I had to call DOH. My apartment was always super clean but I used to still see bugs and pests which he said is not his problem so I had to deal with that on my own. Also he tried saying I was owing him a month’s rent when I paid him a whole month in advance. When I called him out on it he got upset that he was caught in a lie and ask me to leave. Childish. He also used to turn off the heat in the middle of winter & I had to call him several times to let him know I was freezing. (I took pictures) Advice to landlord: Treat everyone with kindness especially those who rent from you. If your tenants have a problem try to get it resolved instead of making them feel uncomfortable.”
