— 914 JEFFERSON AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Spacious railroad apartment. Neighbors were lovely and connected and helped each other out because management never did. Cons: Mice infestation. Raccoon on the fire-escape. Bugs. Whenever I mention it, it takes forever for someone to come and when they do, they just put rat poison and never tried to find where they were coming from. No one answers the phone. Management only respond via email and take weeks to get back to you, sometimes months. When someone comes, they were very rude and very inappropriate. On the surface, it seemed great— but once it’s lived in, within a month, I noticed the mice, the leaking kitchen sink pipe (which took them months to finally fix), the lack of responsiveness, and spent the entire term of the lease with them putting on bandaid-fixes, dealing with unresponsiveness, dealing with mice and fixes in the unit. They just don’t care about the building or their tenants.”
— 914 JEFFERSON AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Location is alright , price is ok, there is natural light. Cons: Railway apartments with doors that don’t work. Rat, mice, and squirrel infestation. Broken radiator pipes. Repairs are rarely done and when they are it is as cheap as possible. Old appliances. Building is slanted. Fire escape is not up to date and dangerous to be on. No access to the boiler room for repairs. Electrical issues throughout building. Advice to landlord: Take care of the building”
