“Pros: Nice enough area. Great outdoor private spaces available. Rooftop for all. Cons: No elevator. Very high electricity bill”

“Unit 3d Pros: Newish appliances, nice design, washer/dryer inside apartment, balcony, rooftop views Cons: Thin walls so noise from neighbors and street”

“Unit 4b Pros: Nothing really; building is “new” but not well maintained. Cons: Mold throughout the apartment; washer/dryer broken; trash everywhere in the apartment at move in; water leaks through window and door frames when it rains; kitchen cabinets coming off the wall; water pressure a joke; basement floods; front door broken; chasing landlord to fix issues; super was nice but ineffective Landlord refused to take responsibility for any issues and refused to return deposit. Landlord represented to the New York Attorney General that apartment was rent stabilized so I wasn’t entitled to the deposit because landlord had to cover unpaid rent. The apartment is not rent stabilized. Advice to landlord: Simple TLC goes a long way; also, don’t churn and turn your units”

“Pros: I lived in this apartment for many years–the ceilings were high, the apartment was spacious and everything (mostly) worked as it should. The location made this place worth it! Cons: Lots of things required fixing over the years and as the property aged, you could tell the owners began to care less and less.”

“Pros: Management was always responsive. Didn't have ANY of the pest issues the building next door seemed to have. Cons: Wish they'd maintain/paint/etc the outdoor areas a bit better. Generally pretty hands off (they repaired things quickly enough though!) for better or worse; you could tell the building had a bit of wear.”

“Pros: No pests ever, responsive maintenance, no dramatic rent increases over 3 years, respectful overall, neighbors are fine, most things work as they should, generally very positive experience of living here Cons: Some fixtures (kitchen cabinets and doors) are not in best condition despite being not very old, electric bills are very high compared with neighboring buildings, washer/dryer units could stand to be replaced soon”
