“Unit 3D Pros: outside community (irrespective of any help from management) Cons: Gila is widely inaccessible and avoids emails and phone calls. Our building lost power for 48 hours, and we could not access our homes because the outside door is controlled with electricity with no backup key. We were sent no emails regarding these concerns. The building also has a PERSISTENT pest and roach issue that management is intent on not solving. The water pressure is terrible and I have had a brokens stovetop since move in with no help sign of resolution. This was almost a year ago now. Bad building--worse management. Do your best to avoid Advice to landlord: do better. fumigate the building. develop better customer service.”
— 855 DEKALB AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Great water pressure, great appliances, great heating and ac Cons: Bad communication with owner; no preventative pest control; package theft (better now)”
— 855 DEKALB AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: It looks modern and cute I guess Cons: The building is infested with roaches, even if you clean and get the exterminator. That place gave me forever PTSD OCD about NYC roaches. I would avoid at all cost unless they figure that problem out. Advice to landlord: FIGURE OUT YOUR PEST CONTROL”
— 855 DEKALB AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: The building is being cleaned twice a week Cons: The building is right in front of a supermarket and it gets incredibly noisy in the morning and during the day, because delivery trucks never turn their engines off. The management responds to 70% of emails only and it takes them forever to fix things if something breaks. Moving out because we're unhappy with the management. The bike racks are outside and there's no cover. They promised to fix the rooftop and put some furniture there - that never happened. One table taken from the backyard and two chairs are not enough for the whole building. Advice to landlord: Change the management company (they're the reason you're losing tenants) finish the rooftop and make it nice like you promised. Put bike racks under a cover/roof”
