“Pros: Location near M Line Cons: The owner is awful, non-responsive, does not clean the building, when repairs are done they aren't done by a professional, cheat tenants on rent (doesn't charge rent stabilzed rents). Advice to landlord: Don't own a building if you can't afford upkeep and lawful rent increases.”

“Unit 3l Pros: The neighborhood atmosphere is nice. Cons: Persistent leaks. Displacement can cause people to lose their jobs and deteriorate mental health. Refusing to repair damages, and convincing a tenant to leave after making up false complaints is illegal and it’s harassment, especially if the tenants are black. That’s all.”

“Pros: -Building is in good condition -Laundry is right downstairs -Close to train -Neighborhood is nice Cons: -Owner has extorted tenants. Charging extra fees for “water” and threatening to not re-sign lease if said fee isn’t paid. -Owner is racist and anti-black. Refused to re-sign lease with perfectly good tenants -Shower had a consistent mold problem due to a lack of ventilation -Heat was inconsistent during the winter, leading to days when the apartment was well below the mandatory minimum of 68 degrees -Owner insisted on fixing everything himself, which meant waiting awhile for anything to be fixed -Intercom was broken for an entire year -No clearly labeled recycling bins were provided and the trash was disgusting Advice to landlord: -Hire technicians to service the apartment -Stop trying to extort tenants -Take care of the property”
