“This a great building. I love it. New washer and dryers would be great. A pool would be great. I think lounge chairs on the roof would be great. All around it is a great place to live. Everyone that works here is super nice and helpful.”

“The level of inhabitants is declining year by year and there is a lack of compliance with pet policies and other regulations. Poor soundproofing of the walls, so that sounds and noises can often be heard in neighbouring rooms. The location is very convenient and the doormen and technical staffs are very friendly.”

“I've lived here for over a decade. I feel very safe here. My unit is very quiet when the windows are closed even though located conveniently in Midtown. The Front Desk Staff are Great and have called me by name from the day I moved in.”

“My boyfriend and I have really been enjoying our time at The Metropolis. The living environment is clean and makes us feel at home. The doormen are extremely caring and ensure we are happy living here. The amenities of a gym and rooftop are amazing as well”

“It has been an experience since I have moved since 2001! But I love it, I was young to an adult with a husband and a daughter now and would like an upgrade to a 2 bedroom but until then while im still here at the metropolis I will continue to love the experience living here.”

“I feel blessed to be a resident at the Metropolis. Having lived here for twenty plus years, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. I love the Midtown location, the possibility to walk in any direction is practical, healthy and all wonderful.”

“Great location and beautiful rooftop views. Conveniently located near Grand Central makes it easy to get around the city by subway. Doormen are super friendly and helpful. Within walking distance to Times Square and Rockefeller Center. Many attractions are within walking distance, great restaurants, shopping and parks. A short walk to Bryant Park.”

“Safety, our rooftop is calm peaceful. Their is an onsite dry cleaner at The Metroplis, I use. Neighbohood got coffee shop Remy on Second Avenue, with outdoor seating, best drinks and surrounded with plants/flowers for sell. Patsy's, a pizzeria on Second Avenue got delicious white pie with ricotta and mozzarella cheese. That is just the beginning of the menue.”

“So far Living at the Metropolis building has been a great experience. It’s in a great neighborhood and the building a terrific amenities that help create a great environment and community to be a part of.”

“I like talking to my neighbors. Also I like the neighborhood. The building has many tenants with animals in which I really love. The building staff are great. They are friendly and people I can talk to about almost anything.”

“Been here since 2017 and haven't found a reason to leave yet! Apartments have decent layouts, and the amenities, while limited, are nice. Doormen, leasing office staff and maintenance crew are all professional and courteous. I've taken a look at nicer apartments, but think this location is really great”

“The quality of The Metropolis apartments and service from management to maintenance are best in class. It is a quiet community with access to trains in 42th Street Grand Central Station within 1 block. I’m very happy living in The Metropolis.”

“The staff, all the staff, is warm, caring and professional. I met a young man in the elevator who has lived here for over a decade. He told me many of the staff members have been here since ‘back in the day’. This shows that the employees are satisfied as well; a huge ‘green’ flag. We’re very happy here.”

“Doormen are great, so is dry cleaning and housekeeping. Gym is well equipped and not crowded. Laundry is expensive but not too busy. There is no common space except for the roof, but it’s too often used by dog owners to relieve their pets, so I don’t go up anymore.”

“The metropolis has a roof terrace where people either enjoy the sun on beds or chairs or just enjoy being outside. The building allowed for service dogs but that condition quickly went out of the window. The worst is that people don’t keep dogs on the leash in the elevator (don’t want dogs to sniff my legs when I just worked out!!) or on the roof. Even worse is that these egocentric dog owners let’s their dogs pee and poo on the terrace which is very unhygienic and disgusting. Mngt basically does nothing about it they say they will but don’t. We don’t extend our rent don’t want to live in a building where they allow for these gisgusting unhygienic circumstances.”
