685 FIRST REALTY COMPANY, LLC · avg 3.7 ★★★★★ · New York City
“Pros: Decent location, that's basically it Cons: Constant noise! If you live here you will do two things: never get a good night's sleep and lose most of your sanity. The noise levels and consistency here are off the charts and cannot be fixed. Basically tenants come, realize they have been bamboozled, and leave after a year. The turnover is unreal. Also, they charge random fees and will not respond to any emails, phone calls, etc. RUN!!! Advice to landlord: The property owner does not care at all about its tenants. They don't even have the common courtesy to respond to simple emails”
— 685 FIRST AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Nice modern luxury building with incredibly kind doorman and package staff Cons: Horrible, and I mean H O R R I B L E management/ownership. They are entirely unresponsive and when they do respond they are downright rude and disrespectful. Wellington Cabrera is the manager and is the biggest scumbag on earth. They refuse to negotiate rent and have created multiple issues in the building, including failing to notify tenants about water maintenance that cause brown water to flow from all faucets, including laundry. When this was brought to Wellington’s attention, he was rude and combative, showing little to no respect for the tenant.”
— 685 FIRST AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Great team here. The views are unmatched. Cons: Can have noisey neighbors. We recently just rented a different unit”
— 685 FIRST AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: The concierge and all the staff are super kind and responsive. Cons: The walls seem to be on the thin side - I used to be able to hear my neighbor upstairs snoring.”
— 685 FIRST AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Pretty lobby and on site garage parking at an additional cost Cons: Lots of rat poison everywhere Noisy neighbors - too many students throwing parties all the time Non responsive landlord Advice to landlord: less poison, more environmentally friendly stuff - keep it clean and enforce noise rules PLEASE”
— 685 FIRST AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Quiet and safety neighborhood good place to burn your money Cons: The building management is RACIST don't live here if you are black or asians They will smash your door without notice or stalk you in the hallway. The management has no respect to the tenants even this building is defined as luxury building. WATER LEAKS Issue very serious! Also my psychic told me this place brings very bad luck to people. Please save yourself and do not leave here. Report Peter Walsh if he's being mean or rude to you. We pay $5000 not to live in an environment like this Advice to landlord: Carefully select your staff and residential managers if you truly identified the building as luxury Tenants who lives here at least make $120,000 a year but being treated with disrespectful attitude”
— 685 FIRST AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Staff are friendly and nice; amenities are great Cons: Walls are paper thin, the building is clearly poorly constructed and the builder cut many costs. People who live here are entitled and don't understand how living in a an apartment building works (i.e., you can't blast music and have 50 people over at 3am on a Tuesday). This combination of rude neighbors and tissue-thin walls makes a deadly combination. The building looks beautiful, but it's all looks and no substance.”
— 685 FIRST AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Nice staff. Clean building. Fully equipped Gym Cons: All good here Advice to landlord: Nothing yet to report”
— 685 FIRST AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Management, staff, architecture, amenities, comfort, elevators, price, construction. Cons: Not all the staff wears masks during covid. The hours of the package room are short so it’s a bit inconvenient. There are several barking dogs that you can hear from other apartments. Advice to landlord: Enforce Covid guidelines. Extend package room hours. Have owners control their dogs.”
— 685 FIRST AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Spacious apartments and great staff Cons: Gym and pool area ran by another company and their staff is a bit rude or probably kinda racist. Mail room closes at 8 on weekdays and 6 on weekends, understandable but frustrating if you or the delivery misses that time frame. Advice to landlord: Work on response times.”
