“Unit 3F Pros: It’s near to nice shops Cons: After 6 months you start to see the problems; Lead, leaking, mold, mice and heater Advice to landlord: It’s time to do the proper repairs”

“Pros: Good area, right next to the subway and tons of restaurants Cons: Bad management, takes a long time to respond to repair tickets or doesn’t respond at all unless you email multiple times. Rent too high for the unit and building upkeep, leaks from any type of rain, pest problems and crooked stairs. Advice to landlord: Invest in the building”

“Pros: Great location near the L train Cons: Very difficult to get in contact with management. Repairs are poorly fixed so things will break again. There are problems with leaks, cockroaches, mice, the neighbors are noisy, packages get stolen, the laundry in building breaks down often, you can’t turn on the AC unit, dishwasher, and blow dry your hair at the same time because the lights will go out (specific but it happened). People will break the front door lock and it will take days for them to fix it so anyone can just walk into the building. The pipes/heaters bang and whistle during the winter months very loudly. Rent increases, even if it was stated in the lease that there would be none Advice to landlord: Be more responsive, attentive, diligent when there are issues and actually fix them so they don’t happen again. Implement permanent solutions.”

“Pros: Proximity to the L train, that is truly the only pro this building has. Cons: Infested with pests/rodents. Constantly in need of repairs that are never made. Packages stolen within moments of being delivered. Front door lock frequently broken or disarmed and there’s no rush to fix it. Massive (20%) rent increase during relet period with no warning and absolutely nothing done to improve the apartment/building. Advice to landlord: Try to not focus on every single cent of profit you can squeeze out of a property and actually have respect/consideration for tenants and their quality of living.”

“Pros: Love the apartment, amazing light, high ceilings, good location Cons: Unresponsive management, LEAKS, heat is VERY loud, management doesn’t answer the phone, super is useless, hallways/stairwell dirty. Building is old and not taken care of/falling apart, broker is a crook”

“Pros: On-site laundry sometimes works, good location Cons: Completely neglectful and dishonest management. Insane rent increases, unfixed leaks in every apartment. Mold, lead paint and falling ceiling in our apartment. Awful heating system that bangs all winter. They rush you to move in and start paying rent before fixing anything alot of the promises never get done. Door code known by any body ( it's been the same for years) and is often disarmed, rat infestation, packages stolen immediately literally. HUGE rent increases Advice to landlord: You should be arrested.”

“Pros: Decent location and neighbors Cons: The landlord returned my security 2 months after I left the unit and kept $400 for no reason. Also stopped returning calls and emails. Advice to landlord: Get some morals”
