“Unit 1L Pros: The building was generally clean and the lounge space was cool to have Cons: The landlord is always watching you on the cameras, is not considerate or respectful, says he will fix things and does not give consistent rent prices. He does not care about your quality of life only money. The building and the apartments in it are purposed for a roommate style living situation. Advice to landlord: Be more considerate of people and stop obsessively watching people”

“Pros: Washer dryer in unit Cons: For the time I've been there they randomly put the worst roommates ever. Two or date rapist, one had someone secretly living in the basement and in the apartment. The rest were just dirty and inconsiderate. It went through several different managements and managers all incompetent. During covid had people move out and move in without checking the room, cleaning it, throwing out what's inside, or even giving them a copy of a key. I had to do that out of my pocket. For a while there was no one to help or maintenance. I would have to do it myself or for others because they come to me. When I finally moved out Raymond said it would take 2 weeks to give a deposit I never received it. Advice to landlord: Find a new line of work”

“Pros: Floors were in good condition Furniture that came with the apartment was solid Counterspace was okay High ceilings Cons: Leaky ceiling Doorknob fell off the bathroom door when I tried to open it No heat during the winter The source all of these problems - the landlord stunk. Contacted the landlord multiple times, and nothing was done to correct these issues. Advice to landlord: Be responsive to your tenants. You’re messing with people’s lives by not being responsible for taking care of your building.”

“Pros: Cheap, nice subway walk, nice place to the eye Cons: No heat, poor management, neighbors smoke Advice to landlord: Allow heat during winter”

“Pros: No one enforces any rules, you can do whatever you want. Like have extra people living your apartment. Cons: Virtually no super or management. A tenant on the first floor does majority of the help we need in the building( great guy). Paper thin walls and rude neighbors. The front door couldn't even close for months. Sometimes it would lock us in! If it snows their is a ice on the stairs and sidewalk and we have to wait for nature. Mailbox system is terrible, everybody has gotten something stolen or package missing. Water pressure is low af. Tenants would throw these loud and wild covid parties in the basement. Advice to landlord: Stop being a slum lord. These are people's lives during a pandemic. Hire a functional and competent super. We shouldn't be going to a tenant.”
