60 WEST 57 REALTY, INC · avg 2.4 ★★★★★ · New York City
“I don't normally write reviews online, however, the reviews here are unfair. Pat Warren and the staff of this building will do almost anything to accommodate the residents here. I have been living in this building for almost 5 years, and I know the real estate market here in New York. This building, the location and all of the staff accept for the super Tim are absolutely wonderful people. The super is very disrespectful and has a horrible attitude. He once called me every bad name imaginable and I in kind told him what I thought of him. Tim your behavior is off putting and you act like you hate your job. You should quit if that's the case. The building and all of the staff other than Tim O'Connor is amazing. This is Jay, Tim. You know what you said to me, and that is why I have no regard for you whatsoever Tim. Learn to be professional and respectful. Under no circumstances should you yell at guest and call them names when they attempt to discuss problems with you. You should be ashamed of yourself.”
— 60 W 57TH ST · Manhattan“I lived in this building for over 4 years and recently moved out. The building is the worst experience I have had in NYC in over 20 years of luxury building living. The heat and air conditioning are almost never working and the building super refuses to tell tenants the situation without constant lies and false promises about fixing things. There are violent fights on the 2nd floor of the building between said super and his wife. VIOLENT. The water is frequently not working due to maintenance and if you complain, you get your lease not-renewed after they have done some funky and unethical things to move it around on you. These guys are basic CROOKS. I can recommend several luxury buildings in the neighborhood with working heat/air, amenities (this building has no gym, nothing), and with less noise and distraction.”
— 60 W 57TH ST · Manhattan“I cannot recommend this building and you should spend your money elsewhere. I lived here for two years and while the rent increased, the quality of life decreased. First, the building is old and there is endless and I mean endless construction and renovation ongoing. My shower never drained properly, with water has high as your calf. The management is a typical NYC business and cares only about the bottom line. There are very few views of Central Park, if any. There is noise from sirens on 57th as well. I made a huge mistake moving in here. I would caution you and recommend going to a more modern building with better management. Don't be fooled but the lobby, the rest of the building is a disaster and cannot compete with more modern buildings in NYC. You have been warned.”
— 60 W 57TH ST · Manhattan“Possibly the worst experience with a so-called "reputable" "luxury" rental management. I won't hesitate to call them crooks and deceitful. Why is this advertised as a "luxury" apartment when the MOST BASIC work is neglected? I am a new renter and cannot go into depth as I'm contemplating legal action against a LONG list of violations among them some highly unethical and illegal actions. In the meantime there are constant stories of massive flooding, plumbing issues, and even a gas outage for over 2 months building wide. There are structural hazards that management fails to inform, stories of people illegally renting their rooms to suspect unverified people, and utterly unhelpful management and building manager.”
— 60 W 57TH ST · Manhattan“The building has wonderful views of Central Park and many of the units have balconies that are marvelous. There is no gym in the building, so expect to join the NY Health & Racket Club on West 56th Street. Oh, one other issue. There is a terrible, simply horrid, smell that pervades the 4th floor. I have no idea what it is, except that is close to moth balls... Sadly, that smell sometimes gets onto other floors. Whenever the elevator opens on the 4th floor, the residents in the elevator always roll their eyes.”
