“Unit 4c Pros: The studios are pretty big, above average in size. Maybe around 350 sq ft Pay by check through mail; can be late a few days Live-in super is usually responsive and nice but you'll still need to tip a little Extremely quiet (depending on if you're facing the street) No vagrants around; good location for transit, food, West Side highway, etc. Cons: Some bugs enter the apartment year-round; get bug bites occasionally Slightly slanted floor Pre-war apartment, so there are water pipes that provide heat through thermal radiation. During the winter, it's so hot that you have to open the window and use a fan to blow air in; I had to purchase a window screen from Home Depot. My window unit A/C doesn't work when the outside air is cold.”

“Pros: The super and his friend I found mostly helpful when there were issues, especially when I had a leak. Cons: The guy under me was a complete nut job.”

“Unit XX4 Pros: Great location - midtown! Cons: 0 owner responsiveness Advice to landlord: Listen and respond to your tenants!”

“Unit 4A Pros: The top floor has a skylight, the garbage comes on time, the apartment is well laid out. Despite the floors being on a 4 degree tilt they are hardwood and there is a decent amount of space. Cons: The super was incredibly condescending and refused to fix my hot water (it was out for a month) until i had to call management and threaten to sue. The floors are on a huge tilt and you can hear every word your neighbor says. They didn’t clean or paint the apartment before I moved in even when I asked. Advice to landlord: Please clean up the apartments prior to move in. There were 15 dead cockroaches on move in day and the whole apartment was incredibly dirty. Also maybe have a chat with the landlord about ignoring requests (it took over a month to fix my hot water). Additionally, the floor boards are breaking due to the slant in the apartment so maybe get a disposable carpet so tenants aren’t super annoyed.”
