Pros: Nice maintenance staff, friendly building workers. Good location. Super quiet street. Cons: So stinky. The entire building especially the lower floors REEK of rotten trash smell. The summer months are the worst. It feels extremely unsafe to breathe in the amount of trash gases that emanate throughout the building. Some nights I would wake up in the middle of the night because the smell was so powerful. I’m a heavy sleeper and was awoken by a smell, not a noise, a smell. They try to cover the smell with heavy amounts of bleach, which also seems like it’s really unhealthy to breathe. Advice to landlord: Seal off the cellar, make sure trash is handled appropriately, stop covering the smell with concentrated bleach.

Unit Du2 Pros: Seems nice at first Cons: -Raised rent 67% percent after first year which is effectively an eviction as no ones salary gets raised close to that amount -apartment flooded with three feet of water due to no drainage did nothing except send someone with a mop -no heat down stairs they just gave us space heater but that drove up Our electricity bill -whenever we had an issue they would send someone quickly but that person would just tell us there is nothing they can do -ceiling Definetly not seven feet in basement -occassional of roaches (water bugs) including finding one in our mail box (it didnt always close properly!) -ceiling would leak -management had weird quiet hour rules Advice to landlord: Nothing—continue being slumlords and exploiting folks by enforcing an almost 70 percent increase

Pros: Great location, quiet street Cons: Loud neighbors were in a band and practiced constantly. Heater was incredibly loud. The fridge was a mini fridge and not at all livable Advice to landlord: Get real kitchen appliances

Pros: It’s quiet and garbage outside is maintain Cons: Literally everything else about these people. Their workers smoke cigarettes while they work in your apartment. They will increase you rent 120% we haven’t had a stove in months. The gas lines are so fucking loud at night so I keep it off. Advice to landlord: I got nothing to say to you.

Pros: Rented here a few summers ago for 3 months. The month to month option was convenient. Cons: The whole space was pretty small for the price we paid.

Pros: Cheap, conveniently located Cons: Very loud neighbors in the back. Loud parties in the courtyard area. I hadn’t completely moved out of my apartment yet and had some items (vacuum, a couple of small pieces of furniture, etc etc) still in my apartment. When I returned to finish up cleaning and moving, management had already cleaned and painted the unit for the next tenant and put my items out in the street. I still had a full two days on the lease. I had to send an itemized list in order to be compensated for the items they threw out.

Pros: I've rarely had issues with any utilities, and when I have the management company has always been quick to respond with maintenance. Cons: Noise. Walls are extremely thin & 2-3 garbage trucks outside almost every weekday between 4-7am.

★★★★★Oct 2020

Pros: It was cheap Cons: It was cheaply built. Could hear EVERYTHING from your neighbors. Ceilings leaked. Bad windows. Management was beyond incompetent. Gas was out for nearly a year. Advice to landlord: Fix your cheap building so it can be livable.
