“Pros: Nice neighborhood, clean building and responsive super. Cons: Some pest issues”
— 448 WEST 58 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Everything in the apartment worked, super was responsive when issues came up, back-facing units are nice and quiet. Good location close to Columbus Circle, between 9th and 10th ave but relatively quiet block. Cons: Small units with tricky layouts. Had noisy upstairs neighbors for some of the time, but could have just been bad luck.”
— 448 WEST 58 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: - large rooms for the price - good location by major train stations, central park, hudson river, and good restaurants - elevator building - laundry in basement - responsive live-in super for any issues Cons: - very limited sunlight (only 1 room has a window with natural light) - uneven heating. one room is a sweat shop during the winter, whereas the other is ok - frequent roach issue - they offer biweekly exterminators, but this shouldn't be a consistent issue that requires regular visits - paper thin walls. if you have a loud neighbor, you're out of luck. - kitchen has no countertop space - if you're into cooking, this isn't the apartment for you”
— 448 WEST 58 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: The best part about living here was the location. you're close to a lot of subway lines and access to downtown is a breeze. For my first nyc apt it did the job. and it was nice that it had an elevator Cons: the security could be better, occasionally here and there packages would get stolen but that comes with most nyc apts.”
— 448 WEST 58 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 1D Pros: The rooms are actually spacious, some apartments have closets inside rooms, others have them outside in the hallway. For the reasonable prices that is rent, everyone has told me they’re big rooms (queen/full sizes beds + space for desks or tv stands or an extra accent couch etc) and you still have space to move around. Cons: Rooms facing north just have a small window facing the inside of the building so there isn’t much natural lighting.”
— 448 WEST 58 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: I love how clean it is, the super is responsive, if you live on a certain side it has no noise. neighbors are mindful. Cons: If you dont live on the 5th floor you will hear everything your upstairs neighbor does.”
— 448 WEST 58 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Location Closet space Cleanliness: did not have insects Elevator Laundry in building Cons: The heat radiator in my room was so loud. Super able to make the sound softer but still waking me up multiple times throughout the night. Never got a good rest from October to April Advice to landlord: Fix the radiators”
— 448 WEST 58 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: The location is amazing - 2 blocks from the park and so many subways. Cons: Noise level is bad but depends on which apartment you are in. Some are better than others. Lots of mice - not on top of pest prevention, but exterminators do come 2x month. More should be done for pest prevention Advice to landlord: Get a better super”
— 448 WEST 58 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Elevator, laundry in building, big Cons: Some bugs, loud noises from hospital”
— 448 WEST 58 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: The super Burim is the BEST. Clean building with no major issues. Things rarely break and if so, the super handles it right away. The building manager is also quick to respond if necessary. Cons: Lots of noise from the street at all hours of the night due to garbage trucks, construction, and the hospital service entrance. Lobby smells slightly like urine due to a handicapped tenant on the ground floor. They clean it constantly but it still is an issue. Overpriced units that are not renovated. Advice to landlord: Lower rents, properly renovate, don’t let college kids live in the building”
