“Pros: The building is clean and the neighbors are nice and quiet Cons: The building was recently sold to an ex porn mogul named ben Zuhey who is running illegal hotels out of the apartments. He is renting everyone out with increases and then turning the apartments into overpriced online rentals. Advice to landlord: Stop the illegal hotel, this is a residential building!”

“Pros: This building is what you would expect for a non luxury building. Most people in the building are friendly and very quiet, although there is no laundry and no access to the roof most days. It’s not glamorous, but it’s pretty clean and well kept, and the super is around here and there for when you need something. Cons: Call box is always screeching and the second door gets stuck without a key sometimes. There is a community center next door for mentally impaired folks, and they tend to hang around/sleep on our stoop and sometimes scream or yell. The block can be fairly loud at night with car alarms or the occasional screaming crackhead… the heat works great but sometimes it gets way too hot in the apartment. Elevator is slow and hot inside but better than not having one. My walls are thick and I hear hear anything from anyone unless in the hallway. Advice to landlord: Update the call box system. Speak with the center next door about their patients being in/around our building so much (they have wandered in before). Turn the heat down in the winter or give us control of it in our apartments. Fix the windows, they’re old and don’t always lock or close properly. Lock the garbage at night or make it quieter, it bangs hard and people on the street mess with it/slam it very loudly since the metal is heavy. It keeps us up at night. Put cameras in, all of us have has packages stolen. Or maybe make a designated package spot away from the front doors of the building where people can’t see.”
