“Pros: I’ve been living here for a few months and love it so far. The staff is respectful, apartments have great lighting, no pests and is super clean Cons: Laundry is a little expensive but it’s better than not having it at all”
— 444 WEST 35 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Porters and maintenance are on top of every request! Cons: Strict rules when it comes to rooftop amenities”
— 444 WEST 35 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: The building is great and so are the staff. Spacious and clean units with a lot of closets and great light. Cons: Unfortunately the traffic around the building creates unbearable noise with constant honking at all hours.”
— 444 WEST 35 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: I love this building! Great building staff, deliveries are a breeze, trash chutes and elevators make living here a breeze. Cons: The laundry machines are very expensive - it's literally cheaper to get my laundry sent out than it is to do it in the building. Also, beware lease renewal time: I was rewarded for several years of good tenancy with a rent increase of 25% at once. Advice to landlord: Raising the rent 25% at once is unnecessarily punitive. Also, I wish the roof deck was available to be used at night.”
— 444 WEST 35 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Location was great Cons: The Lincoln Tunnel exit was loud Advice to landlord: Keep up the good work”
— 444 WEST 35 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Maintenance handled quickly Cons: Loud outside by the Lincoln Tunnel”
— 444 WEST 35 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: View, location, and subway Cons: Not too much, the heat which located in living room area wasn’t working very well. Advice to landlord: They are nice”
— 444 WEST 35 STREET · Manhattan“Probably the best value apartment building in NYC. The building is maybe 20 years old, but is constantly being updated with nice finishes. Apartment appliances are not top of the line, but they are relatively new and very clean. My apartment was delivered freshly painted and perfectly clean. TF Cornerstone is responsive to fix problems. Maintanence in general is terrific.”
— 444 W 35TH ST · Manhattan“I lived in the Plaza West for 3 years and would be still living there if I didn't have to move to Boston. The building is always clean, well-maintained, staff are amazing, and the population is young and welcoming. If you want to feel "at home" this is the place for you!”
— 444 W 35TH ST · Manhattan“I lived at Plaza West for 9 years and I loved the apartment, but every single year the lease renewal process was the worst thing I have ever gone through. It is truly obvious that the management doesn't care if you stay or leave. They are the MOST greedy company I have ever worked with. After 9 years, and with the building staff praising me and putting in recommendations, they refused to give me a fair renewal on my apartment. They outright lied to me (Luz, the leasing staff assigned to me) telling me directly that I was getting the best rate in the building. I was very close to signing the lease when I was informed that she offered someone with the exact same floorplan, but with a complete renovation, on the same floor as me, $200 less per month. I was very upset and felt very mistreated. She didn't care that she was ruining my living experience. She very easily could have given me a reasonable and fair price after my many years with them. I was so happy to get out of there and, while the building staff was truly excellent, the owners are the WORST company I have ever done business with. Good riddance after 9 years. Unfortunately I would have to recommend that you should stay away from this management company... TF Cornerstone and Rockrose (They are the same...)”
— 444 W 35TH ST · Manhattan“Plaza West is hands down one of the best apts for its value. I moved in after college and lived there for two years with a roommate and we converted a 1BR into two. We wanted to be in the heart of Manhattan and were more interested in prime location than having huge bedrooms in an obscure part of the city. Nearly every single subway line is on 34th street and within three blocks ?? if you are from out of town, this is a HUGE luxury! We were on one of the highest floors which I would recommend because the area is noisy (outside of the Lincoln Tunnel). The rooftop is awesome ?? there is a picnic bench and other benches so we had friends over all the time to appreciate the view and Manhattan skyline. Perhaps the best part of all were the doormen. After hanging out in my other friends?? buildings, I realize that having great doormen is very uncommon. Ours in particular (each and every one of them) were fantastic. My roommate and I absolutely LOVED the doormen and though I've moved to a different city now, I routinely go back to say hello. They are extremely friendly, culturally diverse (which I appreciated), polite, and very accommodating. They know all of my friends who come to visit by name and make the whole Manhattan living to be a warm experience. It was important for my roommate and I to live in a secure doorman/elevator building and our experience was fantastic. In fact, I referred many people to the building and all have been happy. Regarding safety ?? 34th street is populated at all hours of the night so I never felt unsafe. Oh - and the kitchens are HUGE (another shock when I looked at other manhattan apts) and have granite countertops! In sum, if you are looking for not-too-pricey (by NYC standards), high-rise, fantastic and welcoming doormen in the best location (right off 34th street), I enthusiastically recommend Plaza West.”
— 444 W 35TH ST · Manhattan“This is a fantastic building in a very convenient location. Sure, it can get a touch noisy during evening rush hours because an entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel is nearby, but you're in Manhattan -- expect a bit of noise anywhere you live. You'll be thankful the apartments are well-constructed and you'll not ever have to deal with noise from your neighbors. Views on floors 7 or 8 and above are fantastic. The rooftop is amazing. And the staff -- the doormen/woman, management, maintenance, etc., -- are absolutely top-notch. An extremely well-run building. I would recommend any Rockrose Development building, but especially this one.”
— 444 W 35TH ST · Manhattan“Lived her for several years. Terrific layout, great roof deck, views are amazing on the higher floors, staff is awesome...the location and noise are less then great. To busy and dirty.”
