★★★★★Jan 2025

“Pros: - never a pest issue - doorman very good with packages, and they are all extremely nice - gym is a nice feature - extremely close to all the train lines - cameras everywhere so you feel very safe - rooftop is nice in summer for a few months Cons: - you have to pay for your own heat and it is VERY expensive - the apartments themselves are very small - washer/dryer is included but quality is not good - the apartments are very drafty so you will be paying a high electrical bill for heat AND air conditioning - this street is so busy, it’s very chaotic during the daytime at times - this is not the best area - other than Dekalb not many places to eat other than fast food unless you want to walk ~15-20 minutes to fort greene or cobble hill - if you have a car there is no free mid-term parking in this entire area - everywhere is street cleaning 3X a week or 2 hour parking so you have to park ~10-15 minutes away in boerum hill Advice to landlord: insulate windows better and figure out how to make electricity cheaper for building. include heat in building amentities as most other buildings do”

★★★★★Nov 2023

“Pros: Close to trains, shopping, and food. Affordable rent to an extent. Units taken care of for the most part Cons: College students, in large quantities live here making it discount the “luxurious” feel. The building markets itself as a luxurious high rise but it’s far from that. It’s nice enough for you to feel comfortable. The units are OK, again, not luxurious,”

★★★★★Jul 2023

“Pros: The building is nice and has very good amenities Cons: The 2 elevators were not sufficient, also a lot of the building is used for student housing”

★★★★★Apr 2023

“Pros: 24/7 doorman service Great location (Trader Joes across the street, every subway line imaginable) Excellent appliances — best dishwasher I’ve ever used Water pressure is superb; hot water comes on nearly instantly Lots of natural light Cons: It’s literally a dorm; Kings College owns a bunch of the units and packs them so tightly that half the people living here are college students Amenities are pretty crappy Only 2 elevators for about 150 units Maintenance takes a long time Units are poorly designed; the sink is too short, the drawers are too narrow for a piece of paper, and instead of a shower curtain there is a clear wall that covers half the bathtub so water gets everywhere.”

★★★★★Mar 2023

“Pros: The doormen are amazing, and all the support staff do a great job in maintaining the building. The unit itself was nice. Cons: A significant number of units were rented to a local university as dorms which caused a lot of issues - backups on the elevators, broken down elevators from overuse, kids in pjs, typical college party stuff. The kids were mostly respectful but it wasn't really a luxury building experience because of them. The building also had some issues from shoddy workmanship in the construction. The floor to ceiling windows were amazing except they weren't properly sealed and leaked throughout the year, making it incredibly difficult to keep the apartment warm during the winter months. Even after repeated requests, management was unable to fix them. Advice to landlord: Fix the sealants - you're costing your tenants a lot of money in utility bills.”

“Unit 24B Pros: Beautiful high rise with a target and trader joes right across! There is also a gym and a lounge room on the first floor. Floor to ceiling windows which brought in so much light. Cons: There were 28 floors with only two elevators. One elevator was usually broken so it took a long time to get downstairs. Advice to landlord: Improve maintenance on the elevators and replace the dishwashers often.”

“Unit 14E Pros: Clean building, awesome desk staff (usually), everything works Cons: Security isn't the best, elevators can be slow (especially if one is out of service, which happens regularly), the shower "door" is weird and water kind of gets everywhere”

— 430 ALBEE SQUARE · Brooklyn
★★★★★Aug 2022

“Pros: nice management. 2 elevators Cons: sometimes easy to hear peoples conversation in the hallway and when someone's door open and shuts It sounds like its my door even though its someone in the hallway. Advice to landlord: tell doorman to ask less questions”

— 430 ALBEE SQUARE · Brooklyn
★★★★★Jul 2022

“Pros: Building is clean, beautiful view, amazing doormen and great amenities Cons: BEWARE: this building offers student housing. If you don't want a bunch of loud college students as your neighbors, I do not recommend. Advice to landlord: Be transparent about the college students”

“Unit 6A Pros: Across the street there is Target and Trader Joes and dining places as well as a movie theater. Cons: Management was not able to be very supportive, especially by my roommate was going through a mental health crisis. Advice to landlord: Be more knowledgeable, aware, and able to make changes to leases, especially when a tenant is going to through mental health crises.”

★★★★★Jan 2022

“Pros: The units are a good size and all come with amazing balconies. Appliances work great and are new. The doormen are wonderful and learn everyone's name right away. Management is very quick and responsive to maintenance requests. Overall very clean. Cons: The walls are paper thin and depending on who your neighbour is they can be very, very loud. There has been ongoing construction next door which can be extremely loud and rattles the apartment during the day. The construction is almost complete now though.”
