“Pros: Its fine. Not the most glamourous apartment, but its a good price and a good size for what you pay Cons: maintenance takes a while to get things done”
— 415 WEST 52 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Well kept, trash removed quickly Cons: Had our shower flood with strange water. Took a day to clean Advice to landlord: Be more responsive”
— 413 WEST 52 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 3A Pros: Great location, good living room space, regular sized fridge and oven, washer/dryer in basement Cons: Packages frequently stolen, have to call maintenance multiple times just to get them to come to the apartment but even more for them to actually fix your problems, have thermostats in the apt to control the heat but you actually have no control whatsoever and end up sweltering from Sept/Oct-April/May due to the temp being set so high for the building also resulting in ridiculously high utilities bills”
— 413 WEST 52 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 2A Pros: Location, location, location! Right in the heart of great restaurants and so close to midtown. Cons: Maintenance didn't really know what they were doing but would attempt jobs well out of their abilities...like electrical work. Made weird holes in the wall from guessing on the job. The laundry room in the basement was DISGUSTING. I hated doing my laundry down there. It was never cleaned the entire time I lived there. And they continuously raised the price of loads without notice. Advice to landlord: Keep your building cleaner.”
— 413 WEST 52 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 4A Pros: - Super was responsive and friendly - Room came with a TV unexpectedly - Laundry was added soon after joining despite not being in initial agreement - No pest issues Cons: - Heating was poor - dropped down to 50 degrees sometimes - Drain backed up once - Property owner extremely unresponsive when trying to get deposit back Advice to landlord: Communicate better and fix the heating”
— 413 WEST 52 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Centrally located, nice neighbors Cons: Negligent landlords. Repairs can take a while.”
— 413 WEST 52 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Everything you need is literally all around you. Coffee, bars, restaurants, hardware stores. Nice sized apartments with dishwasher, good water pressure in bathroom, Cons: Not a ton of natural light in common areas and some bedrooms can get depressing. Mold scare. Gotta be safe in some of these older NY apartments. Advice to landlord: Do major mold checks and capital renovations if need be,”
