“Pros: Incredible value - these are newly renovated apartments with stainless steel appliances, the super is terrific, and the rent is comparably very low even for the area. This is a quiet neighborhood, kind of like an oasis amid the maelstrom of New York - very close to Costco and Aldi’s - also close to the m116 and m15 buses Cons: I really like everything except for the pests - there’s a manageable, but noticeable problem with cockroaches and rats. The heat is a bit variable - sometimes too cold, sometimes too hot - to the point where I’ve had to either open the windows in the middle of winter because it’s so warm or where my jacket around the apartment because it’s so cold. Generally that’s not a huge problem, but when it is, it’s certainly unfortunate. Advice to landlord: If the owner really invested in tamping down the pest problem, this building would be great! The second piece - and I know this would be a big ask - is in unit temperature controls.”

“Pros: Kenny (Super) is very nice and helpful Cons: Anything Kenny can’t fix won’t get fixed without an insane amount of bothering the building managers”

“Pros: Quiet Neighborhood Dog friendly Cons: You will have a lot of maintenance issues, poor communication from landlord/super, faulty repairs done, harassment from landlord, and so much more. Advice to landlord: Better at communication, do proper repairs and give advance notice before entering a unit.”

“Pros: Price and apace Cons: *Maintenanxe request are not handled in a timely manner * Super doesn’t keep the building clean *Random people living in vacant units *People hang out in front of the building *Mice *Roaches *It looks renovated when you view, but everything is cheap and falls apart *There has been a hole in the wall of the hallway for about 5 months Advice to landlord: Pay attention to your workers and be more responsive. Keep the building clean! Eradicate pest problem.”

“Pros: In unit W/D Garbage is managed well Super is wonderful Cons: The unit was unfinished when we moved in and put together very shabbily. To this day there are things that are not fixed, like things missing knobs and the stove’s pilot light not working. Mice, and roach infestations have been ongoing and not well managed. Advice to landlord: Make sure you get actual contractors next time”
