“Unit 2C Pros: I’ve had no pest issues, the current super Mario is nice, very pet friendly, good water pressure, privacy(super doesn’t come unnecessarily), rent stabilized! Cons: Mold, lack of owner accountability, dirty hallways, rusted fire escapes, hoarders and college students as neighbors, wrong priorities (ex: broken front door for weeks but painting the garbage hallway), disgusting washing machines, old super was homophobic and awful and tried to extort me on multiple occasions, Advice to landlord: Hold onto Mario as a super; fix/oil up the fire escape ladders, but overall thank you for there not being pests. Tito the pest guy is great.”

“Pros: very nice porter super doesn’t give issues, very responsive Cons: management is useless Advice to landlord: management should be more helpful… or respond at all…”

“Pros: close to work and school relatively safe neighborhood Cons: always has a nasty smell super is extremely rude and condescending. our mail key was withheld for almost our entire first year because we were deemed irritating and had “too many issues.” we also had a borderline roach infestation and no exterminator was sent. monthly service was offered once but we ended up taking care of the issue ourselves.”

“Unit 4a Pros: good light and space in the units. laundry in building Cons: constant construction, loud drilling, water and heat shut off for extended periods of time. took 1 yr to get my security deposit back. Advice to landlord: do better for your tenants”

“Pros: Good street parking Cons: Lack of maintenance, overpriced, lack of amenities, lack of security Advice to landlord: Invest appropriately in your property if you choose to charge these prices. Get maintenance that is competent.”

“Pros: The modern appliances. The super is such an amazing man. Cons: The garbage room is disgusting. The gym and laundry are always broken. They constantly turned off the water and elevators without notice. Management NEVER responds. John in management is the rudest person I’ve ever spoken too. A month after move out i still don’t have my security deposit Advice to landlord: Care a little more.”

“Unit 1B & 3J Pros: Safe area, close to lots of different shopping and foods. Near the train and the renovated apartments are nice Cons: There’s definitely a mouse problem in the second floor garbage area. There is very little heat in the winter and colder days of spring and fall. We’ve changed supers 3 times since I’ve been here. The balcony apartments always have trash from someone upstairs discarding their glass, beer cans, cigarettes, clothing, paper etc. management doesn’t really take care of it bc it seems to be one of MANY buildings.”

“Pros: Love the neighborhood and the pre-war façade in addition to the apartment size Cons: Could be better managed, more secure-entry door always unlocked or lock broken, intercom rarely works, better up-keep with respects to cleanliness and apartment repairs. Advice to landlord: If you don’t want to properly invest in this property then sell it.”
