“Pros: Location is great, apartments are spacious, doormen are friendly and know each tenant Cons: The craftsmanship is horrible... everything in the apartment was very shoddily done (uneven walls, cabinets not adhered properly, sinks and toilets not caulked properly, etc.). Very difficult to contact building management which seems purposeful (who still uses fax machines and doesn't have an email address in 2024?) Advice to landlord: Hire better contractors”
— 1347 1 AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Building staff (with the exception of John) Cons: Will under no circumstance turn AC on prior to Memorial Day. Even if it is 90+ degrees, so can be unlivable conditions. Advice to landlord: Be more responsive to tenants needs and requests.”
— 1347 1 AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Good bang for your buck. Is cheaper than most buildings for size of apartments. Apartments are a good size, but some are not renovated. If you have lived in your apartment for a long time without renovations they will try and charge you the same “market value” as a nicely renovated apartment. Cons: See above. Not all apartments are renovated, and they will charge the same amount for renovated vs non renovated.”
— 1347 1 AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Friendly, responsive and clean Cons: Noisy if apartment is facing 1st Ave”
