“Pros: - Convenient location! Close to the train station, prospect park, grocery store, and laundry directly across the street - Small building, so you get to know familiar faces - Regular pest inspections, and the exterminator is friendly and professional - Full security deposit returned with no hassle when moving out Cons: - Super can be unresponsive, so you often have to follow up repeatedly or contact building management to get things done - Water damage and mold issues Advice to landlord: Please respond to maintenance requests more quickly and take long-term action to prevent water leaks and mold instead of relying on temporary fixes.”

— 354 OCEAN AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Great location and high ceilings Cons: Constant water leaks, mold and mushroom growing from walls. Years old garbage piles with rats that can be seen from the inner facing apartment units. Constant bad smell. There are some units with low retention. Building management staff is constantly changing making it hard to reach proper staff for issues. Inhouse contractors only provide short term solutions. Advice to landlord: Be more hands on with your property”
“Pros: affordable and spacious. Super was nice and helpful Cons: Neighbors were incredibly loud. It's an old building. Can be a good thing sometimes in this case, not so much. Advice to landlord: honestly, not really your fault”
— 354 OCEAN AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Great price 1br at a prime location, across the street from Q train and prospect park entrance. Multiple bars and restaurants scattered all around. Beautiful fire escape, tons of light. Cons: Neighbors were not only loud at all hours of the night, one wasn’t completely sane and took too much of a liking to me coming and leaving my apartment while he sat on the stairs. Though we had never spoken, he snapped one day and tried breaking in to my apartment while screaming and threatening my friend and I who were inside. Neither police, nor super helped much in the situation. I was forced to move out in the interest of my comfort and safety. Advice to landlord: The property owner handled it in a very appropriate manner in that they let me out of my lease early. Unfortunately the history of this neighbor tenant and his previous actions in the building were not disclosed to me prior to moving in so beware if you’re thinking of renting an apartment on the second floor.”
— 354 OCEAN AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Nothing but nice neighbors. Gorgeous Neighborhood Cons: Trash Landlord! Doesn’t not do anything to make the building look better than what it looks like today. They are very nasty Advice to landlord: Upgrade the building”
