332 EAST 71 REALTY ASSOCIATES LLC · avg 3.0 ★★★★★ · New York City
“Pros: Great location, spacious apartment, negligible rent increases. The in-unit washer/dryer is a ventless combo machine. There’s a learning curve, but once you figure it out, it’s the best. Management is responsive but not very communicative, if that makes sense. Every issue we had was handled promptly, we just didn’t necessarily know what day/time they were coming for the repair. Cons: Building is on a one-way street across from a parking garage. When cars are waiting in line to get into the garage and other cars can’t pass by them in the mornings, there’s excessive honking. You will see the occasional water bug in the hall after a rainstorm, but they’re dead. The entrance and halls are regularly mopped and wiped down, but they could use a deep clean and fresh paint job.”
— 332 EAST 71 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Washer and drier in unit. Spacious. Has bi monthly exterminator available. Never heard my neighbor next door but could hear the neighbors above me. Cons: Had an issue with mice. Needed the apartment sealed professionally. Took over a month of emailing with owners to resolve, so that was stressful. Had several other issue with water damage. The building was raining inside during the bad storm in 2021. Building overall is not well maintained. Also they keep the garbage in front of the building which leads to random people dumping their garbage. But when garbage was in basement there were flies in the hallways all of the time, so it’s a lose-lose situation with that. Advice to landlord: Need better overall maintenance of building. Example: Some of the steps leading from first to second floor have been loose for over a year. Surprised no one has tripped or gotten hurt yet.”
— 332 EAST 71 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Good location, decent amount of space for the price. Cons: Cockroaches in the hallway and I’m sure I just haven’t seen them in my apartment yet, and mice. Advice to landlord: Maintain your building better, I’ve lived in NYC for years and have never had this many problems and complaints about a building this quickly. It takes multiple follow ups to get a response let alone a solution.”
