“Pros: Good neighborhood, neighbors are nice Cons: hallways not clean, no repairs”
— 319 HOOPER STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Location, pre-war charm, spacious living room and separate kitchen at an affordable price. Cons: Awful management, one of NYCs worst slumlords. Landlord avoids maintenance, mold, and pest issues.”
— 319 HOOPER STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Aesthetically, its great - nice light, ceilings Cons: So many roaches. They sold the building and the new owners are awful. Any repairs and they do for as cheap as possible, the place is so dirty.”
— 319 HOOPER STREET · Brooklyn“Unit 4E Pros: Good apt layouts. Thick walls between apartments. Free heat. Cons: Since new owners bought, impossible to communicate, 0 repairs, no cleaning in building, no maintenance. Very loud street.”
— 319 HOOPER STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Nice prewar building Cons: management is unresponsive”
— 319 HOOPER STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Granted I lived there a long time ago, but it was my favorite apartment that i ever had in NY. Landlord was mostly civil and polite. Cons: There was one issue where the upstairs neighbor’s water leaked down and caused the ceiling to collapse in my bathroom. Maintenance was not speedy and that was annoying. They did a shabby job of patching it up too, but probably because they intended to renovate it and increase the rent/move it out of rent stabilization of and when I left. Advice to landlord: Make sure maintenance is fast and efficient. Have someone tenants can call if it’s the weekend/a holiday.”
