“Pros: Family owned building - owners are attentive & fair- always a pleasure to speak to. They provide ample heat and hot water. Rent is appropriate for what the market predicates in this neighborhood. Cons: There’s a handful on elderly neighbors who spread malicious rumors about other residents. The building needs to be spruced up and they’ve fallen behind on routine maintenance. The super is lackadaisical and cuts corners on his work. They’ve started to allow pets and newer tenants have large sized dogs. Advice to landlord: Hire a property management firm & interview your potential tenants”

“Pros: Fairly well kept Cons: Super and manager fairly unresponsive Advice to landlord: Need to recognize the distinction between bad and good tenants better. Tenants who take care of their apartments and have needs related to upkeep are not bad, they could be dealing with the opposite”

“Pros: After living here for awhile we were able to get some minor renovations done and old faulty appliances replaced. Super lives in building. Maria the landlord is great and responsive via email/phone. Cons: It's an old building. Can't really control the heat so it can get hot in winter. We had mice in the past, but the exterminator comes once a month and since filling holes we have been fine. I think the units vary greatly. Some are nice and newly renovated while some are not.”
