“This building is unsafe. Security is terrible, and has been caught working in conjunction with neighborhood criminals. The security will not help you, and possibly will make your problems worse.. avoid this building if you value your personal safety.”

“I lived at the Carteret for two years and had a pleasant experience. Yes, it is expensive to non-NYers but I lived in a prime location with doormen and maintenance men who responded to all my issues, plus it was pet-friendly! I didn't mind paying a higher price for a doorman, package holding, elevators, laundry in-building, a location on the corner of a major street with the 1 downtown station two doors down, and an intercom system.”
