“Pros: In unit laundry and dishwasher Cons: Trash management was not the best”
— 304 10 STREET · Brooklyn“Unit 18 Pros: fairly quiet, easy trash chute and recycling, dishwasher and laundry in unit Cons: Most recent management and super is very unresponsive. Super *might* come to check maintenance requests if you’re lucky, but will say they’ll come back and never do. Mice and roaches, leak coming from ceiling. Leak filled the bathroom wall with water and still hasn’t been fixed in a year, could have mold. Windows arent properly insulated and heat in the winter was weak, reaching illegal internal temperatures (had to sleep with ear muffs on). Issues with water turning off randomly, or turned off for hours without prior notice.”
— 300 10 STREET · Brooklyn“Unit 20 Pros: Renovated units, w/d in unit! Great water pressure in shower, dishwashers in kitchen, overall cleanliness Cons: The management company switched property manager at least 4 times over the duration of the 1 year lease, this made it nearly impossible to contact management about issues in the apartment. There was also a switch in supers who was similarly hard to contact. The apartment has a history of bedbugs, when I signed the lease I was told there was a 1 year bed bug history for an apartment two floors below me, which I decided was fine with me. I then got bed bugs from my next door neighbors, and the building exterminator said he had also treated for bed bugs in a vacant apartment the floor above me. Neither of these were disclosed when I signed the lease. Advice to landlord: Get property mangers who respond!”
“Pros: Clean, cute area, modern, good maintenance Cons: Loud residents, loud children running around, poor management”
— 300 10 STREET · Brooklyn“Unit 3 Pros: Units within the building are nice and come equipped with dishwashers and washer and dryers. Well kept upon move in, fresh paint good floors. Cons: Management is borderline unresponsive. Had an issue that seriously affected the habitability of the apartment (appliances broken). Did not receive a response for at least 2 weeks despite numerous emails, phone calls, and voicemails. Constantly heard pests inside the walls and ceilings but never had an actual infestation within the apartment itself. Advice to landlord: The building and units itself are pretty nice. Building could really benefit from more responsive management.”
— 300 10 STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: I enjoy living here. Feels safe and clean! Cons: Small room, and walk up”
— 300 10 STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: - nice space - loved washer and dryer Cons: - bugs - slow response time”
— 300 10 STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Great location, super was very responsive Cons: Lived there for 2 years and cannot even count the amount of roaches. Also two mice. Not ideal”
— 304 10 STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Location, some renovations, lots of sunlight Cons: Made rooms teeny tiny, horrible neighbors, some pest issues but they handled, radiators are unbearable”
— 304 10 STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: - Garbage management is great - Courtyard available to store bike - Super is kind & responsive Cons: - Appliances are cheap & break frequently - Super is nice but not very effective at fixing problems - Apartment was renovated in very cheap way, so there are small annoyances (drawer hits oven on way out, light switches don't work) Advice to landlord: - Make it easier to contact management company (they respond to emails, but difficult to talk to someone on the phone) - Ensure everything is working before tenants move in, so the onus is not on tenants to request that things be fixed”
— 304 10 STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: The apartment is updated with a great layout and view. Quiet and friendly neighbors of all ages. Trash is handled well, water/heat are great. The super is very friendly, responsive, and helpful at all times. Cons: Bed bugs is a rampant problem. Upon signing the lease, they’d had bed bugs on 2 out of 5 floors. Then 4 months after move-in, I also got bed bugs. Management was responsive to my request for extermination, but did not care that I was homeless for a month, did not choose an effective or clean exterminator, and did not compensate me in any way for their incompetence. Ive lived here 7 months and had 4 packages stolen, a gas leak, lost power overnight (and spoiled all my fridge food), and was unable to get into the building for a night when the front door buzzer broke. Management doesn’t care about any of these issues or their tenants. They make excuses and claim no responsibility. Advice to landlord: Actually address the bed bug problem and fix the building so the doors work and power stays on. The bar is so low and you can’t meet it. Act like you care about your tenants.”
— 300 10 STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Love the location, In unit laundry, Very responsive super Cons: We had rats for a while”
— 300 10 STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: The proximity to the train station was a definite plus. I never felt unsafe or that it was too loud, but my unit was at the back of the building. The super, Richard, was very responsive as well. Cons: Getting in touch with anyone from management (Silverstone) was a nightmare. Many times you would be left without any response even when emailing multiple times. Advice to landlord: I lived here during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. For the most part, everyone in the building was very polite with wearing masks and being respectful of boundaries. One of the main reasons for moving out was the lack of physical space in my particular unit. After being cooped up and working from home for a year, I realized I needed more space.”
— 304 10 STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Great location, clean, renovated Cons: lack of responsiveness from owners and supers, lack of pest control, heating was a little unpredictable and hard to manage”
— 304 10 STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: It is Next to the train station Cons: No AC in the hallways, bad maintenance, gas odor Advice to landlord: Make repairs and keep well maintained building”
