“Unit 3B Pros: Laundry in building, modern appliances and fixtures, nice tub, roof access, big windows, responsive management, friendly neighborhood and walking distance from Prospect Park Cons: Neighborhood gets noisy at times, units are quite small, not a lot of storage and barely any cabinets in the kitchen, and ants occasionally entered the unit via the balcony door (but nothing an ant trap can't remedy)”
— 287 MAPLE STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Management is generally responsive but may be slow on what they might consider cosmetic fixes. Generally clean and quiet. Laundry management company generally responsive. Cons: The neighborhood is very quiet except for on J'ouvert, so plan ahead if you can't handle noise loud enough to shake the building for one weekend out of the year.”
— 287 MAPLE STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: This is a new construction, but I feel that the quality is pretty good, as far as fixtures and finished. I can’t really hear neighbors above or below. I like that there are only seven units per building, so things don’t get out of hand… if there’s an issue, just talk to the person directly. Cons: The insulation is unfortunately pretty poor. Cold air streams through the glass doors and windows. Having wall units for heat and A/C is convenient but electric bills in the dead of winter or summer can be $200-$400. Hot water takes a very long time to heat up in the sink and shower. Some units are rent stabilized, some are not. Advice to landlord: There needs to be a trash/recycling storage area outside so that trash bags don’t have to be on the ground in front of the building if the bins get full.”
— 289 MAPLE STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Newly built building so there were no pest problems. There is laundry in building, rooftop access, and access to a security camera. Cons: The units and bedrooms are really small. The walls are really thin, so you could hear your neighbor playing their music and sometimes their conversations.”
